The long Easter weekend is coming to an end for many of us, which means it’s almost time to get back to work. But, don’t let that discourage you as we have a new entry for our church undo, hi-fi and home cinema news to brighten your day.
Here’s everything you need to know.

Bang & Olufsen have created new uber-premium speakers
If you like your hi-fi standmounts to act as a work of art as well as speakers and are willing to pay Renoir prices, good news! Bang & Olufsen has you covered with its new Beolab 90 Monarch Edition and Beolab 90 Zenith Edition speakers.
The new speakers are the last two introductions to the company’s century-old Atelier series, following the Titan, Shadow and Mirage Editions. Along with the uber-swish look, both speakers feature unique 360 designs inspired by the classic Beolab 90 speaker.
But they don’t just look funny (one of our writers described them as “a ’70s robot with a boogie), there’s a practical reason for the design: it allows B&O to place each driver in a different position to help spread the sound around the room.
The only bad news is that, as well as costing more than the average house, B&O only makes 10, so you’ll have to act fast if you want a pair.

We asked how to make home cinema more accessible

Loss of sight and hearing are common problems, which being a cinephile or audiophile does not provide any protection against.
We know that for two reasons. First, because many of us at What is Hi-Fi? they are no longer spring chickens. Second, because you, our wonderful readers, often ask questions about ways to deal with problems, while continuing to enjoy your movies and music in the best possible way despite them.
And sadly, the truth is, most of the time, we don’t have the answers you’re looking for. That’s why last week, we took the time to speak to Deaf Action’s BSL Film Club and get a clearer picture of what needs to change to make home cinema truly accessible.
