Zepp Health has now officially launched the Cheetah 2 Pro, its latest performance-oriented smartwatch with a premium titanium alloy build, sapphire glass and a 1.32-inch AMOLED display. Battery life is rated at up to 20 days, while the watch brings offline maps, 32GB of storage and dual-band GNSS support.
The launch of the program comes after a series of timely appearances by sponsored athletes, which made it very clear that the device was on its way out. What’s being seen now makes a lot of sense in retrospect, as Zepp Health clearly used it to build anticipation ahead of the announcement. Now that the watch has been confirmed, we can finally see where the company is taking its dedicated running line.
A clear measure of build quality
The first thing that stands out is the materials. Zepp Health has gone with a titanium alloy case and sapphire glass protection, which immediately gives the Cheetah 2 Pro a premium feel over most watches in this segment.
The timepiece comes in a 48mm round case and retains a four-button layout, a setup that should work well during runs where touchscreens can be difficult in the rain or during intense sessions. The overall design retains the sporty DNA of the original Cheetah Pro, with the features of the recently released Active 3 Premium.
Display quality also seems to be one of the strong points here. Zepp Health uses a 1.32-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 466 x 466 and brightness limited to 3000 nits, which should keep the screen easy to read even in bright outdoor conditions. Based on our testing of the Active 3 Premium, which also uses sapphire glass, one thing to keep in mind is that the surface can pick up fingerprints easily, so it might be something to watch here as well.

It is designed for training and navigation
This is a watch that is clearly designed with runners in mind. Cheetah 2 Pro supports 170 workout modes and includes satellite support for all GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou and QZSS. The sensor package appears to be similar to that found in the latest crop of Amazfit watches. But you get dual-band GNSS rather than single band which should help with satellite accuracy.

Navigation features are also built in, including offline maps and route guides. That makes it a very capable option for long runs, trail sessions and training in unusual terrain.
Amazfit has also included 32GB of storage, which should leave plenty of room for maps, workout data and offline music. Along with the built-in speaker and microphone, it also keeps the smartwatch side of work well rounded for everyday use.
In terms of battery life, you can expect up to 20 days between charges. This is one of the headline statistics that may attract attention, especially for runners who compare it to the most famous names in the division.
Our takeaway
Overall, the Cheetah 2 Pro looks like a solid upgrade. Nothing here feels too different on the hardware side, but the combination of premium materials, a bright display, strong battery life and decent navigation tools point to a watch designed for runners who want serious performance features without moving into the highest price bracket.
Zepp Health has also spent the last year slowly building out its performance metrics and training ecosystem, so this watch seems well-placed to benefit from that broader application. In that sense, hardware development and the company’s growing focus on performance analysis seem to go hand in hand.
You can pick up the Cheetah 2 Pro for $449 on the Zepp Health website. Which means it costs less than the original which was originally sold for $299.
The real test, as always, will be how it performs on GPS and heart rate accuracy. On paper, however, it looks like a well-rounded update to the Cheetah line with a clear focus on running and outdoor training.
