Ultrahuman comes forward this week with a partnership aimed at making the workout process easier for users who want to push themselves or relax.
In a press release, Ultrahuman announces a partnership with studio-level fitness company, Les Mills. Both companies are trying to tackle a real problem with wearables: real understanding when you’re “not well” or ready to go. Ultrahuman says, if your device says you need to rest, your training program will continue as if you were at your highest level. In conjunction with biomarker data, Ultrahuman Ring and Les Mills are working to help bridge the gap “between wearable data and real-world training decisions.”
Ultrahuman Ring AIR users and PRO users now get the Les Mills PowerPlug, which uses biomarker data to help their desired fitness goal: Strength, Cardio, Flexibility, or General Fitness (selected after download). Additionally, you can determine your preferred training days and session length.

Recommendations for your future workouts will take into account your availability, sleep, and cycle data received from your smart ring. However, your recovery is what matters. Ultrahuman says Dynamic Recovery influences these recommendations, which can include workout intensity and type. Your recovery data will fluctuate depending on how much you moved that night, your deep sleepless rest, and any sleep.
When you wake up, and if everything goes well, the Ultrahuman app will show BODYPUMP or BODYCOMBAT. But if you need to relax, you will see BODYBALANCE.

Women who want to take their workouts to the next level will get help based on their cycle. “High energy” stages, such as ovulatory or follicular, can provide recommendations for GRIT and BODYCOMBAT. However, the luteal will probably encourage you to take it easy with yoga.
Ultrahuman and Les Mills aim for a “continuous feedback loop” through this partnership. Your smart ring receives a lot of data while you’re working, and that shines in a few ways. Workout stats, recovery prediction, movement/muscle tracking, and “daily goal updates” datasets help you recommend workouts for the next day. If you exercise and keep wearing your ring, the most accurate Ultrahuman says these recommendations will be.
To emphasize, the Les Mills PowerPlug for Ultrahuman Ring AIR and PRO is released today (April 22) through the Ultrahuman app. Users worldwide will get access for $11.99 per month or $99 per year.
A previous partnership between Ultrahuman and Click Therapeutics was announced in January, helping users understand their migraines.

A deeper understanding, based on important details, may make this an acceptable feature. I’ve had days where you just feel like you don’t care to push yourself. For such a person, who still sees his day’s workout going on, he may feel inclined to grit his teeth and walk away. That’s not always a good idea. It’s a quick way to overexert yourself or, worse, risk injury.
