Samsung has released two One UI 8.5 beta updates for the Galaxy S23 series, and is expected to release a few more beta builds before rolling out the stable update sometime next month. However, before that release, the changelog for the stable update appears to have been leaked, and it may disappoint some users.
Galaxy S23 may miss Galaxy S26’s new AI features with One UI 8.5 update
The leaked One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S23 Ultra appears to be missing a few Galaxy AI features introduced with the Galaxy S26 series. That includes Call Screening, Creative Studio, advanced AI Audio Eraser, Notification Highlights, and Current Dynamics.
However, it is still possible that this is not the final changelog, and Samsung may add some of those features before releasing a stable update.

Talk to Bixby with your own words. Bixby is now better at finding the setting or feature you need, even if you don’t use specific commands or feature names. Just say what you need and let Bixby do the rest.
Whether you need a quick answer or detailed information, just ask Bixby for a quick answer. There’s no need to spend time on multiple searches or switching between apps.
Looking back on past conversations with Bixby is easier than ever. You can now access your chat history in the side panel of the Bixby app.
Camera
Three new filters are available to add film-like effects to your photos.
Automatic lock screen layout
Wallpapers with pictures of people or pets now fit perfectly every time. When you choose an image for your lock screen, the image will be automatically adjusted to best fit your clock and widget layout.
New downloadable wallpapers
Discover new wallpapers with interactive features. Wallpapers are loaded so they don’t use up your storage space when they’re not working.
Customizable clock fonts
Personalize your lock screen clock. You can now adjust the thickness of additional font styles to match your preferred look.
The weather
Quickly check the upcoming rain in the Weather widget on your home screen. The widget now shows a graph if rain is expected in the next few hours.
Check the amount of pollen in the air to help manage your allergies. You can check pollen levels with trees, grasses, and ragweed.
Communication
Can’t answer right now? Let callers record a voice message directly to your phone that you can listen to later. A message will appear on your screen as it is being recorded so you can reply at any time.

Weather alarm sites
Wake up to an alarm that gets you ready for the day’s weather. Your alarm screen can now display the current weather conditions as a background when it goes off.
Compare time zones at a glance. A new slider in the Clock app makes it easy to check the time difference between locations around the world.
Communication
Access your files anywhere. Files from your other Samsung phones, tablets, and PCs are available in the My Files app on your phone. You can also access your phone files from other Samsung devices, even your TV.
Share your phone’s internet connection easily. Now you can share your hotspot with your Samsung account family, or create your own hotspot sharing group with anyone you choose.
Easily connect and share files, screens, cameras, storage and more with your family. Family Device Sharing allows you to use features like Instant Sharing, Camera Sharing, Storage Sharing, Auto Hotspot, and more control over your family members’ Galaxy devices.

Use power saving to make your battery last longer without charging. Choose a moderate saving level with limitations, or choose High to turn off all non-essential features and make your battery last as long as possible.
Security and privacy
Stay informed about your privacy. Now you’ll get warnings if an app’s permissions could put your personal data at risk and suggestions on what to do about it.
Keep your phone and data safe if lost or stolen. Turn on the failed authentication key to automatically lock the screen in the event of multiple failed attempts to verify your identity using a fingerprint, PIN, pattern, or password. Identity verification also protects more settings than before.
Turn off Auto Blocker temporarily
If you need to temporarily disable Auto Blocker security protection, a new option allows you to turn it on automatically after 30 minutes so you don’t forget.
Check the security status of your devices
Keep all your devices secure. Knox Matrix now shows when any supported devices signed in to your Samsung account need a software update to get the latest protection.

Easily control Bluetooth hearing aids
Access the settings of your Bluetooth hearing aids directly from the access point. A pop-up will appear allowing you to change your hearing system, turn Ambient sound on or off, and more.
Control magnification with mouse or keyboard
Keep what you need maximized by viewing with these new options. You can make the magnified area follow the cursor as you type or move when you change focus using the keyboard. If you’re using a mouse, you can make the magnified area move as you move the pointer around the edges of the screen.
Sitting action and Corner actions
The Auto feature after positioning the pointer is divided into two features. The dwell action allows you to set custom actions when your mouse stops moving for a certain period of time. Corner actions allow you to set a different action for each corner of the screen.
