One of the reasons that Milwaukee is often considered one of the top cordless tool brands on the market is its tremendous innovation. The company is constantly releasing new products and expanding what it offers to its consumers. Sometimes these new releases are designed to replace older models with newer, more refined versions, and sometimes Milwaukee introduces completely new tools and equipment. This product is very popular among working professionals, as the great versatility of its tools makes the M18 battery system one of the most versatile options out there—not to mention Milwaukee’s reputation for performance and reliability. Many of these experts like to stay up to date with all the latest gear that Team Red brings to the market. That way, they can see if there’s something on the horizon that they might want to add to their collection. They’re in luck, it looks like there’s a bunch of new stuff on the way.
Milwaukee has announced several new products it plans to release soon that look like they will be useful in any workplace. Many of these are already listed on the company’s digital storefront, sharing images, information, features, and more. By looking at these upcoming arrivals, you can get a better idea about which of them would make a good addition to your setup.
Roll-On 7,200W/3,600W 6.0kWh Power Supply
Every workplace needs energy. Another disadvantage of construction and maintenance work is that it often takes place in areas where electricity is out, in the wrong place, or not available at all. But even so, you still need a way to charge your batteries and power your wired devices. This is where the Roll-On 7,200W/3,600W 6.0kWh Power Supply comes into play. This is an all-electric power system that eliminates the noise, smoke, and complexity associated with traditional gas-generated power in favor of clean, quiet lithium battery storage.
Milwaukee already has a 2.5kWh version of this, but as you may have noticed from the name, the new model comes with a non-removable 6.0kWh Redlithium battery that provides more than double the power. Milwaukee says this battery can be charged to 100% capacity in 8 hours or 25% in 100 minutes. So you can plug it in at night and have a fully charged unit every morning. It also has a pass-through capability that allows you to use it while charging. Going into the features, this power supply is a pure sine inverter with two 20A GFCI outlets with circuit breakers, a USB-A outlet, and a USB-C outlet. It’s also powered by One Key (Milwaukee’s digital tool catalog platform), features large wheels, an extendable handle, and a roll cage for protection and portability. It is IP54 dust and water resistant and compatible with Packout. This means that it is compatible with other modular Packout devices, such as the following one released by Milwaukee.
M18 and M12 Four-Bay Super Charger
The Roll-On Power Supply has many uses, but one thing it doesn’t have is a battery charging port. You will need to connect the chargers separately. Any M18 or M12 charger will technically work, but one of the better options is the upcoming M18 and M12 Four-Bay Super Charger.
This can charge up to four batteries at a time, with two bays dedicated to the M18 and two hybrids of the M18 and M12. That’s an excellent battery output rating, but it’s not the only thing that makes this product exciting. Milwaukee’s Charge Adapt adaptive power distribution technology can manage this flow and increase efficiency by directing electricity to the batteries it needs without wasting money on already charged cells. In addition, the charging speed is as impressive as the charger capacity. Milwaukee promises that this charger is ten times faster than standard charging solutions for four batteries. It says four of the 12Ah M18 Redlithium Forge HD12.0 batteries can be charged to 100% from empty in just 90 minutes. This is possible thanks to the company’s patented active cooling system, which keeps the battery temperatures low while charging to prevent overheating and reduce the time required for the cooling process–although it notes that this only works with M18 batteries with Cool-Cycle capabilities. Additionally, the charger features Redlink Intelligence, which allows it to communicate directly with any Redlithium batteries that may be connected to “monitor the cell’s voltage, temperature, and state of charge to improve performance and extend the life of the pack.”
The M18 and M12 Four-Bay Super Charger are also Packout compatible, so you can lock one into the Roll-On or any other Packout device you might want to plug it into.
M18 circular saws
Circular saws are a necessity for almost every job, from plumbing to plumbing, and Milwaukee is known as one of the best circular saws on the market. Now the company has just introduced the M18 Fuel 7 ¼-inch Rear Handle Circular Saw, and it looks like there are at least two new models on the way: the M18 Fuel 7 ¼-inch Circular Saw and the M18 Fuel 10 ¼-inch Rear Handle Circular Saw.
The new 7 ¼-inch model (3026-20) will be an improved version of the 2834-20 model that the company already sells. It hasn’t changed much smartly, delivering the same 6,000 RPM speed and promising the same 750 cuts per charge. It adds a few new features though. The new model will now feature Milwaukee’s patented AutoStop kick protection. This automatically shuts off the saw’s power when a strong kickback is detected, helping to prevent injury. It will feature Vaclink wireless dust control and One Key tracking and app integration.
The 10 ¼-inch Rear Handle Circular Saw, on the other hand, is a completely new tool as there are no circular saws in the M18 system this large yet. This is very exciting for anyone who works in framing and is excited about the possibility of a cordless circular saw with a 3 13/16-inch deep cut that can cut through a 4×4 in one pass. This comes with AutoStop anti-kickback functionality. Cutting speed is not listed yet, but the tool has a Powerstate brushless motor, RedLink Plus intelligence, can make 250 4×4 cuts on one 12Ah battery, weighs 10.3 pounds (without battery), and comes with a 10-¼” 28T Thick Kerf Framing Circular Saw Circular Saw.
Air-Tip Vacuum Accessories
The Milwaukee Air-Tip System is a line of commercial vacuum equipment designed to make dust control and debris cleaning quick and easy. Milwaukee says, “With a focus on performance, user comfort, and versatility, these solutions reinforce Milwaukee Tool’s commitment to delivering trade-focused innovations that improve productivity and elevate the cleaning experience.” This already includes a few important attachments for Milwaukee vacuum backpack and shop vac owners. There are currently 20 attached models listed for availability at the Milwaukee site and the company recently announced that several more are on the way.
Looks like there are a few of these in the Milwaukee pipeline. These include the new Air-Tip Debris Scraper and 3-pack of replacement blades sold separately, the Air-Tip Boiler Coil Cleaning Brush Tool, the Air-Tip Automotive Detail Brush, the Air-Tip Compact Dust Collector, and the Air-Tip Bucket Top Dust Collector.
This adds a variety of new applications to the company’s existing in-store selection as well as any space you may have in other brands. As with all Air-Tip accessories, these are designed to be universal. Each attachment is compatible with wet/dry vacuums with 1 ¼-inch, 1 ⅞-inch, and 2 ½-inch hose diameters.
Cut Level 1 Nitrile Dipped Gloves with Wear Defense
Not everything you need in a workplace uses electricity. There are many low-tech devices that you will want to have on hand. One thing that almost everyone needs are decent work gloves–especially if you’re working in a field with a high risk of injury to your hands. “We want to make sure we’re covering all the different states, all the different job sites, because different job sites have different needs,” said Milwaukee team project manager Austin.
Milwaukee has a brand new set of Cut Level 1 Nitrile Dipped Gloves listed as an upcoming product on its website with some great features baked into it. These are light duty gloves woven from a tough 15-gauge coreless yarn for mobility, breathability, and protection. They are designed to be light, flexible, and highly breathable while still providing a certain level of protection. This is in addition to a set of gloves rated ANSI/ISEA 105-2024 Cut Level 1, 105-2024 Abrasion Level 6, and 105-2024 Puncture Level 2.
The palms and fingers are coated with Milwaukee’s Wear-Defense Coating and there is an additional reinforced nitrile coating between the thumb and index finger. This is designed to provide increased abrasion resistance and reduced wear without compromising comfort or craftsmanship. It also makes the gloves last longer, and Milwaukee says these “have the longest life of all 15 cut gloves.” Additionally, built-in SmartSwipe technology gives you the ability to interact with touchscreens while wearing gloves.
