Monster Hunter Stories 3 reveals new monsters and Monsties

On February 22, 2026, Capcom uploaded a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and the developer is leading the way to help newcomers to the series quickly access the game’s story and gameplay.
The “Go Forward” trailer gives players an in-depth look at the game’s story while revealing a host of new monsters to hunt and tame such as Monsties that can be controlled as party members in battle.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection’s story focuses on the Encroachment, a mysterious phenomenon that has turned all life into a crystal that has forced the kingdoms of Vermeil and Azuria to fight each other for survival.
The trailer suggests that the player will eventually uncover the source of the Intrusion while dealing with shocking revelations and the heartbreaking loss of family members along the way.

During the “Go Forth” trailer, we also get glimpses of several returning monsters from previous games and newcomers to the Monster Hunter Stories series that will be used as bosses to beat and possibly new Monsties to tame.
These monsters include Nibelsnarf, Shogun Ceanataur, Ajarakan, Barroth, Seregios, Ibushi, Narwa, and a mysterious egg that may only contain the game’s original monster.
The wait for Monster Hunter Stories 3 is getting too much, I need to hunt now!
I was already sold on Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection after being surprised during my preview of the game, but this trailer sent my anticipation levels to critical mass.
After many years, we finally have a crab monster like a riding Monstie in the form of Shogun Cenataur. The story looks even more intense, and seeing Narwa and Ibushi again as fighting enemies makes me want Monster Hunter Rise.
Although it lacked the tough challenge of the previous main games, Monster Hunter Rise more than made up for it with cool monsters, a smooth and colorful art style, an excellent PC port that worked at launch, and an excellent arcade game that, in my opinion, is still far superior to Monster Hunter Wilds in terms of focus and execution.
In fact, I’m going to fire up Monster Hunter Rise right now and replay its glorious Sunbreak expansion to kill some time before Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection arrives on March 13, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. via Steam.
