Get double storage throughout the range

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to upgrade your smartphone, Samsung just made a very compelling argument for doing it sooner rather than later.

Revealed at Galaxy Unpacked today, the Galaxy S26 range – which includes the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra – is now up for pre-order ahead of its March 11 release. That might not sound exciting on its own, but Samsung is trying to tempt fans by promoting free storage during pre-orders.

The deal is simple but effective; if you pre-order any handset in the range before the usual release date of 11 March, Samsung will upgrade you to the next tier of storage at no extra cost. For the base S26 and S26 Plus, that means paying for the 256GB model and getting the 512GB model.

It’s even more tempting if you’re looking for the top-of-the-line Galaxy S26 Ultra, as pre-ordering the 512GB variant will get you the 1TB model – a saving of hundreds – which also has 16GB of upgraded RAM instead of the usual 12GB.

Prices for the range start at £879 for the S26, £1,099 for the S26 Plus, and £1,279 for the S26 Ultra. Also, these usually come with 256GB of storage, but you’ll get 512GB instead for a limited time.

It is also worth going directly to Samsung’s official online store to place your order; not only will you secure free storage upgrades, but you’ll also get access to exclusive “online only” color options that won’t be available from third-party vendors or mobile networks.

There are many reasons to upgrade to Samsung’s latest flagships – especially the flagship S26 Ultra. The real highlight of the S26 sports a slim, light design and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 of Galaxy power, even when the S26 and S26 Plus use Samsung’s Exynos 2600 (in most regions outside the US, anyway) – but the screen is the real highlight.

That’s because the Galaxy S26 Ultra sports a built-in privacy display, controlled at the individual pixel level. The effect is not very similar to privacy screen protectors, it basically reduces the viewing angles of the screen so you can only see what’s going on, but that technology is built into the screen itself.

It also means you can hide certain aspects of the screen, such as notifications, or certain applications such as mobile banking, to stop prying eyes from seeing what you’re doing. And, if you don’t need it, you can turn it off completely. A world first, never seen before on a smartphone.

The Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus offer more modest upgrades in comparison, but with a larger battery and a slightly larger 6.3-inch screen on the base S26 and improved Galaxy AI features across the range, they still challenge the improvements of those on older Galaxy devices.

All three are available to pre-order in the UK, US, Europe and many other regions ahead of the launch in March – but you’ll have to be quick if you want that free storage upgrade.
