MagSafe Monday: TopMade Wallet Review – Get My and Big Storage

Find My is quietly one of the best things Apple has done in the last decade. It started with tracking your iPhone, expanded to Mac and iPad, and eventually covered physical objects with AirTags. Now that third party accessories are using the standard, it’s becoming a true platform that I think is very underrated. The TopMade MagSafe Wallet integrates this technology directly with Find My. It eliminates the need for a separate AirTag bump while keeping your wallet traceable within the Apple ecosystem.

MagSafe Monday: Every Monday, Bradley Chambers looks at the latest and greatest in the MagSafe wireless charging industry to help you get the most out of your Apple devices that support wireless charging.

Get My integration with the battery

The main feature in this bag is full Find My support. Unlike other wallets where you have to slide the AirTag into a dedicated wallet, the tracking technology is built right into the wallet. Once you’ve paired it, you can view its real-time location on a map, play a sound when you leave someone near your house, and get “Leaving it Behind” notifications when you walk without it outside your house.

Powering the tracker is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery rated for six months on a single charge. The good news is that you don’t need a specific cable to charge it. The bag itself charges wirelessly via MagSafe. Eliminates the need to keep spare coin cell batteries in your junk drawer.

Energy and magnetism

If you’re a minimalist, this might not be for you. The TopMade wallet is designed for someone who wants to carry a lot, but also use MagSafe. It has four individual card slots but can hold a maximum of nine cards. This is great if you need to carry a credit card, work card, work ID, driver’s license, etc. all at once. It also includes RFID blocking to keep your credit and debit cards safe from skimming attacks

Because nine cards add significant weight, the magnets must be strong enough to hold. TopMade claims a 4,000g strength, which the company says is five times stronger than an official Apple bag. Basically, this means it shouldn’t come off your phone when you take it out of your pocket.

Like most modern MagSafe accessories, it does double duty as a stand. The hinge is adjustable from 15 to 170 degrees, supporting both portrait and landscape modes. This is great for checking notifications on your desk or watching a movie on the plane.

Finish it

Overall, the TopMade MagSafe Wallet is a handy beast and a great MagSafe wallet option. It’s 0.67 inches thick, so it’ll add bulk to your carry-on, but the tradeoff is a lot of card storage and Find My tracking. If you’re tired of losing your wallet or just need to carry more than three cards, this is a solid choice for a MagSafe wallet with Find My support.
