Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 In-Depth Review: Too Expensive But?

Amazfit has released its latest watch, the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2, which is a larger and battery-packed version of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro released last fall. They also replaced the second wire of the flashlight with a green LED instead of a red LED. In addition, Amazfit has added new software features, such as a ClimbPro-like mode and improved map detail layers. Oh, and again, a bunch of battery upgrades. In fact, the tag line of this watch should just be ‘Big and battery’.

As usual with Amazfit, the result is usually a mix of ‘Hot dang, well done on hardware’ with ‘Sigh, these new features don’t work‘. And to save you some time, it’s the same here. Anyway, I’ve been putting it in between runs, rides, and more – all to find out where these limits are, so you can make the decisions you need to make.

Now, in the meantime, I’m still finishing up my written review, although my video review is already up (above). As always, these two are twins to each other, I have to finish doing all the single taps on the written side. This post will magically update to that full written review here soon. But I figured I’d get a video for you in the meantime.

Above is the video, and below are all the YouTube chapters for each category:

With that – thanks for watching!
