Polar Flow update plans for two X series watches

Polar has released version 7.35.0 of Polar Flow and our APK teardown revealed two unreleased devices in plain sight. Alongside the already known INW6J reference that is tied to the Polar Street X there is now a new reference for something called the Polar Pacer X.
This is the first time the Pacer X has appeared anywhere. There are no control files and nothing has been publicly announced, making this APK series the only proof that such a watch can be launched soon.
Street X keeps evolving
The INW6J identifier is always present in the latest Polar Flow builds. That’s important because the INW6J has already been certified as Polar Street X in FCC documents that appeared in January. Seeing it continue across all versions of the app suggests that the Street X is still tracked within the Polar software stack and hasn’t been moved or rebranded internally.
That is consistent with what we already know. FCC documents pointed to a Bluetooth smartwatch with no obvious signs of cellular connectivity. Packaging indicators and size markings are featured on a lifestyle-focused device rather than a full-on training tool. The price of almost two hundred euros also supports that position.
Pacer X debuts
The most interesting part of this release is the appearance of the Polar Pacer X. This is a brand new string that was not present in the previous Polar Flow design. Unlike the Street X it currently has no publicly disclosed associated device code and no FCC or other regulatory records to rely on.
However, the fact that the Pacer X comes from Polar Flow suggests that it is good enough to require a software fix. Even if the Hardware has not passed the certification.
The Polar Pacer and Pacer Pro were released in 2022. They represent the company’s entry-level running watch family, built around GPS tracking. Adding the suffix X can mean several things. It may refer to a design update, a simple urban variant or a pared-down model.
This is where the guesswork starts, so it’s worth flagging it as such. Polar used bullets sparingly and often with purpose. UX can mark the direction of the crossover, combining the basics of training and everyday wear. There is currently not enough data to rule that out.
This is what Polar’s roadmap says
Taken together, these two references suggest that Polar is working on a broader innovation than a single lifestyle watch. Street X looks like a new category of installations, which aims to track the daily activity and reach of the product beyond the key players.
The absence of control inputs for the Pacer X is significant. It tells us that Street X is very close and will probably come first. The Pacer X feels like a late 2026 product without the files suddenly appearing.
In the meantime, Polar Flow APK does what it usually does best for this teardown. Confirms the internal code words and purpose of the product before advertising is involved. Street X is real and yet to come. The Pacer X is probably the original too, even if it’s still lurking in the background.
An APK teardown helps predict features that may come to service in the future based on code in progress. However, it is possible that such predicted features may not make it to public release.
