HONOR Magic V6 Unveiled at MWC 2026: Brighter Displays, Bigger Battery, and Tougher Durability

At MWC 2026 in Barcelona, HONOR is putting the spotlight on Magic V6its next generation foldable that pushes the “normal phone when off” slogan with a mix of hardware development and sustainability-focused messaging. HONOR relies heavily on several Magic V6 pillars: ultra-thin (with color-sensitive chassis), larger silicon-carbon battery, brighter OLED panels, and new Qualcomm platform.
Design: very thin, with different proportions depending on the color
The Magic V6 retains the “small folding” identity front and center, but the numbers vary by finish. In WhiteHONOR lists 8.75 mm folded again 4.0 mm openwhile i Black, Gold, and Red The versions come in a slightly stiffer version 9.0 mm folded again 4.1 mm open. Each color has a different treatment, including a velvety feel of the Red model and the combination of many layers made of gold. That may sound like a small difference, but in foldables, fractions of a millimeter matter in pocketable and one-handed use.
Durability and resistance: IP68 and IP69, with reinforced hinge and tempered glass.
Another major improvement is the IP68 and IP69 measurements. This is important because foldables have historically been economical in terms of dust and water resistance, and IP69 (high pressure water jets, high temperature) remains a rarity in the category.
For the V6, HONOR focuses on durability, including a hinge made of high-strength steel and an exterior display with multiple layers of protection.
The company says the hinge structure is used 2800 MPa high-strength steel and pair it with a folding panel built around it toughened UTG (ultra-thin glass). HONOR says the crease is about half as visible compared to the Magic V5while impact resistance is improved like that. The phone maker has also pushed the envelope in certification and testing, getting the i EU “A grade” resistance rating.many SGS certificatesand internal reliability tests are available 500,000 folds under heat stress conditions.

Displays: high brightness output and stylus support on both screens
Magic V6 features a 7.95-inch internal display combined with a 6.52-inch external displayboth support 1–120 Hz renewal rates. HONOR also pushes high light: it comes 5000 you say on the folding inner panel as well 6000 you say on the cover screen (high brightness is not the same as continuous brightness, but it is still a useful signal for HDR highlighting and outdoor visibility).
V6 supports pen input on both screens and it is compatible with RESPECT The Magic-Pen.
Performance: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
The Magic V6 features Qualcomm’s flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with 16 GB of RAM again 512 GB of storage. The Snapdragon Elite 8 Gen 5 delivers +23% graphics performance while using 20% less power. than the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Elite. On the CPU side, the latest Elite 8 has won 20% CPU performance again 35% CPU power efficiency.
Large Silicon-carbon Battery
The star of the show is big 6660 mAh battery, using HONOR’s silicon-carbon battery technology. During our forum, HONOR also discussed China’s high energy diversity with high silicon content.
The higher capacity is especially welcome in folders, where large displays and multitasking workflows can eat up battery life. The challenge, as always, is to convert the capacity to real-world longevity under thermals, radios, and display light.
Cameras: 50 MP main, 64 MP periscope telephoto, 50 MP ultrawide

The rear camera setup includes:
- 50 MP main camera (f/1.6) with OIS
- 64 MP periscope telephoto (f/2.5) with OIS and a 1/2-inch sensor size
- 50 MP ultrawide (f/2.2)
HONOR also emphasized the photography software and telephoto quality, which makes sense given how periscope cameras have been a big difference in flagship phones. If the telephoto lens delivers consistently, the Magic V6 could remain a solid choice for consumers looking for a foldable without compromising too much on photography.
AI features: meeting summaries and application suggestions
HONOR continues to position the Magic V series as an “AI-first” device, equipped with tools like AI Meeting Agent (providing meeting summaries and activities) and AI suggestions, which context-aware recommendations. As always, the real test will be reliability, language support, and whether these features work offline or require cloud access.
Apple ecosystem support: Mac integration and notification sharing
One of the most unique angles is HONOR’s ongoing effort to work with Apple devices. Features of Magic V6 Mac Screen Sharing, Screen Extension for Macagain Notification Sharing (via Apple Watch)and support for file transfer with iOS devices. If this integration works well, it could be a great selling point for people who carry an iPhone as a second device, or who primarily work on macOS but prefer Android on their phone.
What’s new compared to Magic V5
If you read our Magic V5 reviewyou know that the main appeal was not just the specified list, but the feeling that the phone “it stops feeling like it’s folding” in daily use, thanks to its slim profile and ergonomics. The Magic V6 keeps that small and simple approachbut it adds several meaningful improvements: IP68/IP69 resistancea large silicon-carbon battery (typical) of 6660 mAh, high peak brightness on both screens, and step to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. On paper, these changes target the most common points of folding pain: chronic anxiety, endurance, and ongoing performance.
