7 smart home launches from February 2026, including IKEA, Blink and Philips Hue
February may be the shortest month of the year, but it certainly didn’t disappoint with the many smart home devices launched in the past 28 days. This month, there was a great deal security camera drops, like that smart light starts and development.
But what surprised me the most this month was the number of smart sensors that hit the market. Compared to other smart devices, sensors are somewhat neglected, but this month has clearly shown that smart sensors such as motion, smoke and glass breaking sensors are in high demand.

IKEA Bilresa remote control kit

At T3, we can’t get enough of IKEA and have already done a full iteration of the IKEA in February starts. But I had to mention the IKEA Bilresa Remote Control Kit as it is an easy-to-use smart button device that – like smart sensors – is often overlooked but shouldn’t be anymore.
Available in many colors and two versions of the kit, i IKEA Bilresa remote control kit comes as a trio, and allows you to assign and control multiple smart lights around your home. Blink Outdoor 2K+

At the beginning of the month, Blink announced its new The Outdoor 2K+ security camera has finally hit the UK market after being available in the US from September 2025. An improved, redesigned version of the original outdoor camera, the Blink Outdoor 2K+ offers 2K video resolution, color vision and a battery life of up to two years.
For me, the outstanding feature of Blink Outdoor 2K+ its ambient light that allows the camera to capture color video at low light levels. When it gets too dark, it switches to black and white infrared to still record video and photos with good quality and clarity.
EZVIZ CB8 4G Lite Kit

Anyway EZVIZ is quietly launching its new battery-powered camera – so much so that I almost missed it! – the CB8 4G Lite Kit has quickly become my favorite and was launched this month. The main reason for this is its automatic dual-network switch which ensures that the camera is always recording and working even during a fixed connection.

Philips Hue has announced several new products this month, but the most exciting, its The Essential Light Strip has finally been launched in the UK. Part of Philips Hue’s new Essentials range, this light line is one of its cheapest options from the line, but still boasts amazing colors and brightness.
It is available in five meter type, i Philips Hue Essential Light Strip it costs just £49.99 and offers white and color lighting effects. The brightness and temperature of the lights can be customized with the Philips Hue app and users can pair the light strip with the Hue Bridge to take advantage of advanced smart home features and Matter.
Eufy E20 motion sensor

Eufy had a big month in February, launching not one, not two but three new smarts. These include a smart smoke alarm and a glass break sensorbut what I enjoy most is its youth smart motion sensor with a battery life of five years.
I Eufy Motion E20 sensor it has a range of up to eight meters, and is designed to trigger other smart devices around your home, both indoors and outdoors. It’s currently only available in selected European countries for €39.99 so I’ll be eagerly waiting for it to come to the UK.
Swann EliteX 6K NVR Security System

Another security camera launch, Swann has released its EliteX 6K NVR Security System, and although it has an expensive initial cost, it keeps the ongoing costs down as there is no registration fee. But that’s what I love most about it it gives you a choice of camera design.
Consumers can choose between dome or bullet cameras to suit their home. I Swann EliteX cameras they come as a set of four, but you can connect up to 16 cameras for a full security system. The cameras have a resolution of 6K / 12MP Mega HD, color vision at night, and have built-in lights for even more clarity.
SwitchBot AI Hub

SwitchBot has launched its iOS the latest smart home hub in February 2026, in an effort to bring AI automation to the home. SwitchBot AI Hub is the first home AI agent to support the OpenClaw framework, and comes with on-device AI, camera-based vision intelligence, and smart home control.
Despite all this technology, i SwitchBot AI Hub it looks very simple and can live in your house carelessly. Using visual language models, the SwitchBot AI Hub understands what’s happening in your home, and generates event summaries, daily home reports and alerts, and can trigger automation.
