We’re debating everything from new OLED TVs and Samsung earbuds to exclusive reviews of iFi’s latest DAC. Here’s everything you need to know.
Samsung presents their best earbuds to date
Samsung introduced a wealth of new hardware last week. While most people’s attention was drawn to the new Galaxy S26 range of smartphones, the audio geeks that we are, were focused on its new earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.
The new buds are a direct successor to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, but don’t let the fact that both sets received four-star ratings fool you.
We put the new Pro buds head-to-head with their predecessors and their main competitors last week, and we can confirm that they are Samsung’s best to date and a huge improvement on all its previous offerings – so much so that they actually beat their main competitor, the Apple AirPods Pro 3, in several areas.

We got an exclusive look at iFi’s new DAC
Hi-fi brand iFi is slowly drawing a strong reputation in the mobile DAC space, releasing a wave of affordable, easy-to-use units that offer a tangible boost to the sound of most phones. That’s why last week we took the time to review its latest iFi Go Link 2.
A direct successor to the original five-star iFi Go Link, which proved to be a top performer when we first reviewed it two years ago, the unit has big (or small, depending on how you look at it) shoes to fill.
Thankfully, it more than delivers and was quickly recognized as another easy five-star recommendation from our reviewers, despite the slight sonic improvement over its predecessor.

A reader’s favorite brand has a new competitor
Speaking of affordable hi-fi, last week Majority Audio also got in on the action, showcasing its new range of compact hi-fi broadcast products.
The final specification is not guaranteed for any of them. But, after talking to the developers and the team behind them, we know that they plan to offer the same, cheap, versatile creativity to the WiiM amps and streamers that have risen to become student favorites over the past few years. We will be keeping a close eye on them for that.

Big changes for Panasonic TVs
Finally, last week our senior staff writer, Lewis Empson, flew to the Panasonic launch event in Munich.
It wasn’t, however, the company’s new range of LCD TVs for 2026, or only its new OLED, the Panasonic Z86C, that grabbed the most attention. No, it was the revelation that, after months of rumours, Panasonic had found a buyer for its TV division.
It is entering into a new “partnership” with Chinese company Skyworth that will provide an OEM license to manufacture, distribute and sell new Panasonic-branded TVs.
