Instead, we’re giving some love to some of the top 10 Prime Video shows that deserve their time in the spotlight. To save you time, we’ve compiled a list and pulled out the titles you should watch.
The best shows on Prime Video top 10
‘The Gray House’
Any show or movie based on a true story already comes with a built-in hook: the knowledge that its events are inspired by something that actually happened. “Grey House” is clearly benefiting from that pull, especially given its rapid rise into the top 10. What makes it even more compelling, however, is its classification as an “untold” story, one that has not been widely known or fully explored.
Executive produced by Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman, along with Mary-Louise Parker, Daisy Head, Amethyst Davis and Ben Vereen, this historical drama is worth checking out if you’re drawn to stories about the lives of history’s forgotten heroes.
“Gray House” follows the truly inspired story of a group of women in Richmond, Virginia during the American Civil War who form a network of unlikely spies within Confederate territory. The Virginia public, her determined mother, her ex-enslaved colleague and the controversial court used their positions in Southern society to gather intelligence and aid the Union forces.
Throughout its eight episodes, women turn their Underground Railroad jobs into espionage, risking lives and freedom to influence the war.

’56 Days’
Watch it open
One of Prime Video’s latest thrillers is “56 Days,” which has been firmly holding the No. 1 for a few days now. Billed by the broadcaster as “a unique crime story and a thrilling, gripping, psychological drama,” this eight-episode series clearly has all the right ingredients for a gripping watch.
“56 Days” certainly thrives on the chemistry and tension between the leads, Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia, while dropping enough hints to keep viewers hunting for answers. It it does lean into the melodrama and you can get over-the-top at times, but the unfolding mystery is so gripping that you won’t be able to look away.
“56 Days” is based on the novel by Catherine Ryan Howard and follows Ciara Wyse (Cameron) and Oliver Kennedy (Jogia), who meet by chance and begin a fast-moving relationship. Fifty-six days later, homicide detectives arrive at Oliver’s Boston apartment to find an unidentified decomposing body and begin an investigation.
The narrative alternates between the past timeline of the couple’s intense connection and the current investigation led by detectives Lee Reardon (Karla Souza) and Karl Connolly (Dorian Missick), as they work to find out what happened.

‘The King: Legacy of the Beasts’

To be ahead, you can stream only the first episode of “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” for free on Prime Video, the entire season is available on its original home, Apple TV, or with an additional subscription. It’s still worth including on this list, though, since season 2 just dropped.
Watching the first episode gives you a solid idea of whether the series is worth jumping into fully or it might be time to consider an Apple TV subscription to catch up. “Legacy of Monsters” is a series suitable for everyone who loves large-scale action and impressive monster looks (including Kong and other Titans).
“Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” is set in the Monsterverse franchise and follows two siblings, Cate (Anna Sawai) and Kentaro Randa (Ren Watabe), as they investigate their family’s connection to a secret organization known as Monarch, which researches giant creatures called Titans, including Godzilla and others.
Their search for answers leads them deep into the Monarch’s operations and brings them into contact with Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell at different ages) on several occasions. The narrative moves between the 1950s and the present day, each generation revealing more about the mysterious world of the Monarch.
