Leaked tips on the Huawei Watch Fit 5 series dropping in April with the Ultra tier

Huawei may be ready to refresh its Watch Fit program soon, with a new leak pointing to an April 2026 launch of the Watch Fit 5 series. The tipster behind the claim is FixedFocus, a Weibo-based source with a track record of Huawei leaks.
If time is running out, the Watch Fit 5 will arrive about a year after the previous iteration. The Watch Fit 4 series launched in May 2025, so the April window will represent little change in Huawei’s releases.
A third model joins the list
The big story here is what the Watch Fit 5 range is said to include. Huawei, it is reported, is planning three versions of this, the standard model, the Pro and the new Ultra. The last one is worth noting, because the Watch Fit line has only ever shipped in two tiers.
What Ultra will bring to the table is still unclear. No specific hardware details or feature differences have emerged, but the name alone suggests that Huawei is aiming higher than the Pro at least in some ways. Whether that means a rugged design, expanded sports tracking, additional health sensors or something else is anyone’s guess.
The way the current generation looks
To put the Watch Fit 5 in context, it helps to know where things stand with the Fit 4 series. The standard Fit 4 and Fit 4 Pro were introduced with a shared 1.82-inch AMOLED display, dual-band GNSS and barometer, features that were missing from the Fit 3. The Pro went further, adding ECG, temperature sensing, TruSense health platform, route navigation and online, diving tracking to 40 meters and golf mode 0 full course 0, golf mode 0 full. All things considered, it’s a great step up from the previous generation.
If Huawei follows the same development path with the Fit 5 series, and adds a true Ultra tier on top, the range could end up covering a lot more ground than it does today.
More Huawei hardware is reportedly on the way
The Watch Fit 5 is not meant to come alone. It is expected that there will be a wide event of the Huawei product which may also include the Pura 90 series of smartphones, AI smart glasses, Watch Buds 2, HarmonyOS PCs and two new MatePad tablets. That will make for a bigger launch window if even half of it happens.
As always with leaks of this nature, treat the details with caution. None of this has been confirmed by Huawei, and details about the Watch Fit 5 are still thin on the ground. More information should emerge as any potential launch date approaches. Last year we had a regulatory agency leak, nothing along these lines has come out in 2026.
