LG has just released the prices for its latest OLED models – and it’s good news
South Korean tech giant LG has announced how much its new C6 and G6 OLED TVs will set you back, and it’s good news.
Both models are available now to pre-order and will be hitting shelves this month in the US, although it’s not clear if this will be the same in the UK.
But what do these examples provide? Starting with the LG C6, it packs new panel technology in the form of Primary RGB Tandem OLED – arguably the first major panel upgrade the C series has ever had.

- LG OLED48C6: $1599
- LG OLED55C6: $1999
- LG OLED65C6: $2699
- LG OLED77C6: $3699
- LG OLED83C6: $5299
That’s almost the same number as its predecessors, save for one exception. The 83-inch LG C5 launched at $5399, making the C6 edition less expensive by $100. It’s still a big price tag, but we’ll take even a small savings.
Turning to the LG G6, there’s also a lot to be excited about. LG claims the flagship OLED TV is 20 percent brighter than the G5 it replaces.
The brand also claims the TV will deliver blacks as low as 0.24 nits in a room with 500 ambient light. That’s the kind of light recommended for activities like reading and sewing, it’s very bright.
It also sports the Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel structure found in the two major C6 offerings, which includes dual blue layers to improve light and brightness efficiency, alongside red and green layers.

Like the C6, the G6’s price remains largely the same compared to last year’s iteration.
When we saw the LG G6 at CES earlier this year, we were able to see the new model in action. Although the displayed content and test mode were far from perfect, we noted: “Most of LG’s displayed content focused on gems and jewelry with a bright light reflected in them, and here we saw even more bright highlights.”
No word on UK prices yet, but we’ll keep you posted when we learn more.
