F1 is now exclusive to Apple TV subscribers in the US

If you’re a Formula 1 fan, this weekend is huge as the 2026 season kicks off. And for US viewers, there’s a big change this year where you can watch.
Apple TV is now the exclusive F1 broadcast home in the US. All Apple TV or Apple One subscribers get access to the full slate of races, including practice, qualifying, and Sprint sessions.

The first Grand Prix airs this Saturday, March 7, at 8 pm PT.
Apple has published a press release detailing what subscribers can expect this F1 season. Eddy Cue is funny:
“This weekend marks the start of a new era for Formula 1 fans in the US…We’re excited to bring the entire season to Apple TV, delivering an immersive experience designed entirely for fans. The growth of Formula 1 in America has been phenomenal, and we’re proud to build on that momentum — combining the power of Apple TV with Apple’s broader platform to create an ecoport for Apple fans.”
F1 joining Apple TV doesn’t just mean there’s a new place to watch it. The overall viewing experience will change, and Apple explains what to expect.
Watching F1 on Apple TV: What to expect, supported devices, and more

Formula 1 will be streamed within the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, Vision Pro, Android, or on any smart TV or additional platform that offers Apple TV, such as Prime Video and Roku. You can also watch on the web.
In other words, you You don’t have to have an Apple device watching F1 on Apple TV.
Per the press release, here’s what to expect from F1 this season:
- Stream in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision—a first for F1
- Complete compilation and analysis
- English and Spanish analysis options
- Access to up to 30 additional live feeds in every session
- Sky Sports is streaming as another option
- Multiview support for up to four simultaneous live feeds
Multiview is available on supported devices, including Apple TV 4K, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro. There will be a variety of pre-configured Multiview layouts for viewers to choose from with a single tap. But Apple TV will also enable more personalization with the option to customize each live feed.
If you choose not to watch within the Apple TV app, F1 TV Premium is still available and is free in the US for Apple TV subscribers.
