So let’s refresh what Anker’s SOLIX E10 whole home backup system brings to your home. With its initial setup of a module and a single battery, you will get 6kWh of power to cover the needs of saving the equipment during power outages, and the capacity to increase up to 90kWh. The base setup also promises a constant power of up to 7.68kW (and can go up to 10kW for 90 minutes), while it has a maximum power of 28.8kW. Of course, going with one of the many battery packs (or adding more later) increases that output up to 37.2kW, while pairing two separate systems together goes up to 66kW, which can really cover your home’s power needs.
It should come as no surprise that a fully extended system also supports a maximum solar input of up to 27kW (9kW per unit), which would be a fully extended 90kWh battery capacity. This is especially good for people who will use solar panels full time (whether from this brand or others), with this complete system that can cover about three days on a full charge, and even more (if not unlimited) if you have to charge regularly with solar panels. Another thing to note about this system is that it comes with a NEMA 4 waterproof rating, making it capable of handling outdoor installations and temperatures from -4 to 131 degrees.

Now, unless you’re an electrician, Anker says this system will require professional installation. If you don’t plan to go for a fully extended setup, you have some options to cover the essentials, such as the Smart Inlet that supports manual intervention. On the other hand, there is also a Power Dock option that provides more intelligent controls alongside automatic switching of up to 12 circuits if the power should go out.
You’ll also notice the option to add Anker’s new Smart Generator 5500 to your purchase, giving you three more fuel options (gasoline, propane, natural gas) for the system, as well as bringing automatic switching, smart controls, and more.
