What is Mario Day?
Mario Day is an annual celebration of the world famous Nintendo Mascot. It happens every year on March 10 and is usually joined by a series of game discounts, fun activities, exclusive console bundles, and more.
Why is it called MAR10?
Look closely…MAR10..Mario…March 10 is Mario’s day. Get it? It’s just a fun play on the acronym for the month of March and the 10th day that happens to be exactly the same as the name Mario (MAR10).
What are the Mario Day Switch game deals? Will there be deals on Switch 2 MAR10 games?
Over the past few years, Nintendo has brought a series of discounts on first-party games for the Switch on Mario Day. We think this year will be no different, but there is one big question here: Will there be Switch 2 games or just Switch titles?
The answer is not clear, Nintendo usually provides a series of first-party deals, the name of the product, but considering that this will be the first celebration of Switch 2 for Mario Day, it is not clear whether Switch 2 exclusive games will be included in the deals or not. If we had to guess the answer would be no, but we saw some easy deals in the exchange of 2 titles of The Game Awards last year, so it was out of the question.
Mario game deals will likely hit major retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and others, but you can also expect a large selection of digital titles for sale on the eShop as well.

What is the Mario Day Switch console bundle this year?
Usually, Nintendo often offers some kind of special Mario Day Switch console. It usually consists of a traditional console with special packaging and additional savings in the form of a FREE game or something along those lines.
Nintendo of America is yet to announce what this year will be, or will have, but we saw the official announcement (pictured above) of the Nintendo Australia and New Zealand Mario Day bundle today – it’s a Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle that also comes with a FREE Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack swing plus50t that you can save on the $50 pack. MK World bundle always).

Will Nintendo announce new Switch Online games for Mario Day 2026?
Yes! In fact, it already is. Early this morning it announced that it is releasing Mario Tennis and Mario Clash to the Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics library and Mario vs. Donkey Kong on the Game Boy Advance side of things. All three titles will be launched on March 10, 2026.
We’ve been hoping to see Mario Sunshine usher in the spring of 2026 by hitting the GameCube library and Mario Day seems like a good time to announce its release date. It’s possible, but Nintendo, at least for now, is giving past titles some time in the sun ahead.
