Celebrate MAR10 Day with These Deals on Mario Games and Toys

It’s Mario’s 40th birthday. Four full decades since the mustachioed plumber first appeared on our screens. He has had a long, industry-defining history and remains the unofficial mascot of the video game industry as a whole.

Nintendo is celebrating Mario’s birthday with deals and discounts on all its games and toys. We’ve rounded up some of the best from across Target, Amazon, and other major retailers. It’s very rare to see Nintendo games on sale, so now might be the best time to find some Switch games that you might have missed last time around.

The Mario Party series has had its ups and downs, but the Switch generation has returned these games to the high quality of previous entries. Tons of mini-games and boards with lots of complexity to keep the friendly back-and-forth competition alive between friends. The Switch 2 expansion (sold separately) adds even more mini-games and modes that take full advantage of the Switch 2’s mouse controls.

The Mario and Luigi series promises you simple RPG mechanics and lots of laughs. Brotherhood is the first new entry in nearly a decade and serves as the perfect entry into chance-based gaming for adults and kids alike.

Most people agree that the Paper Mario series reached its peak with its GameCube entry, so when Nintendo announced that it was getting a revamp on the Nintendo Switch, people were over the moon. This is the de facto way to get this great RPG. The series has moved away from the uniquely designed NPCs and their partner system in recent entries, but that’s all over the place here. This is two games in one. Super Mario 3D World follows a level-by-level design where you and up to three friends try to reach the end of a series of stages with platform challenges, fun powerups, and collectibles along the way. When it comes to Switch, Nintendo goes in and puts a new game built on the same assets and engine inside. Bowser’s anger. This add-on game takes a more open world approach to level design and was critically acclaimed upon release. It may be an indication of where the next 3D Mario game will go in its design, but only time will tell.

Mario shouldn’t get all the love today. One of the best titles on the Nintendo Switch is still the third entry in the Luigi’s Houses series. Mario, Peach, and some of their Toad friends get lost after the entire Mario crew is invited to stay at a fancy hotel that’s secretly run by ghouls and ghouls. Now it’s up to Luigi to free them. This game also looks amazing. Some of the best visuals seen in a Mario title, and that goes for both cutscenes and in-game moments.

Mario riding Yoshi, as he appeared in Super Mario World on the SNES, was brought to life in LEGO form. These pixel-based LEGO sets look absolutely stunning. And this is more than just a show. Open the handle to make Yoshi run and turn the phone behind his head so his tongue sticks out.

Some of the most popular LEGO sets these days are those from the botanical collection, which feature various bouquets of flowers in LEGO form. Well, this is kind of Mario’s version of that. The 540-piece Piranha plant comes in a buildable tube and includes two coins.
