I started my journey (and finally followed a strong following) with Whisker’s Litter-Robot 3 Connect back in 2024 after spending almost a year researching the best options for my fur babies, this was the first in generations to offer intelligent in-app controls (which have only improved over time). It may not bring the smart features, advanced sensors, cameras, and more that newer generations boast, but it’s still a great option for anyone who’s tired of picking up trash all the time – especially at this affordable level.

The standout draw here is its self-cycling design, which is triggered by any cat entering and exiting the globe, and comes as the safest of bargain-bin models that not only spin vertically, but also have a track record of killing curious animals.
