Spring is shaping up to be another full season for Netflix, with the broadcaster streaming a mix of long-awaited returning series, big-budget movies and brand new originals. The spring 2026 field lineup already has plenty of titles to add to your watch list.
Whether you’re in the mood for the world-famous crime drama “Peaky Blinders,” an epic horror series or a wild adventure thriller, these upcoming releases could be some of the streaming highlights of the season. So, here are five of the biggest Netflix movies and shows I can’t wait to watch in the spring of 2026.
‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal’
Watch it open
If you were a fan of the original “Peaky Blinders” series, this movie can easily be added to your watch list. But even if you’ve never followed the show, the crime drama set in war-torn Britain led by Cillian Murphy (starring Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Stephen Graham and Barry Keoghan) is still a compelling reason to tune in. You can catch “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man” on the big screen before it hits limited edition Netflix.

Set in 1940s Birmingham during World War II, “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man” continues the story of crime boss Tommy Shelby (Murphy) years after the events of the series finale. Living alone, Tommy is drawn back into the chaos surrounding the Peaky Blinders as new threats emerge in wartime Britain. When a dangerous plot involving counterfeit British currency and Nazi agents comes to fruition, the Shelby family becomes embroiled in a heated conflict that could destabilize the country.

‘The Worst Will Happen’
Watch it open
As a horror fan, I’m always on the lookout for new shows that can keep me on the edge of my seat, and Netflix’s upcoming series, “The Worst Will Happen,” immediately caught my eye. A program that warns you about the worst that comes in its title is actually impossible to ignore, and it’s a smart strategy that makes you watch to see what’s really going on. Executive produced by the Duffer Brothers, the series looks like a twisted ride for horror fans.
“The Worst Will Happen” follows Rachel (Camila Morrone) and Nicky (Adam DiMarco), an engaged couple preparing for their upcoming wedding. With a week to go until the event, the two go to Nicky’s secluded vacation home, where friends and relatives have gathered to celebrate the occasion. As the days pass and the wedding approaches, strange events begin to disrupt the preparations. Rachel is soon annoyed by the behavior of those around her and the strange events that happen in the house.

‘Beef’ season 2
Watch it open
Netflix’s “Beef” is officially returning for a second season this year. The dark comedy drama, which premiered in April 2023, became an instant hit, earning a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Season 2 takes a new direction with an entirely new cast. Although Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, who starred in the first season’s story about the incident of street violence, are not expected to return, the series that now stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny, offers something interesting while maintaining the program’s unique mix of dark comedy and drama.
This new season focuses on Austin (Melton) and Ashley (Spaeny), a young couple working at a country club who witness a heated argument between their manager, Joshua Martín (Isaac), and his wife, Lindsay Crane‑Martín (Mulligan). That conflict sparks a series of treacherous moves and power plays involving the two lovers as they hold social roles in an upscale club and seek favors from the club’s billionaire owner, Chaiwoman Park (Youn Yuh-jung).

‘Stranger Things: Tales from ’85’
Watch it open
“Stranger Things: Tales from ’85” is an animated series of the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things”, developed by Eric Robles with original creators Matt and Ross Duffer and other executive producers. The series also includes many of the familiar Hawkins characters (in animated form with a new voice), and aims to revisit the city of Hawkins in a bright retro style reminiscent of 1980s cartoons, expanding the popular universe and bringing it to life in a new viewing format.
Set in the winter of 1985 between the events of the second and third seasons of the show, the series brings back Eleven, Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin and Max as they return to Hawkins, Indiana, where strange events begin after settling into everyday activities such as Dungeons & Dragons and snowball fights. Beneath the frozen city, new monsters and an incredible mystery emerge, prompting the team to investigate and confront these unexplained threats to their community.

‘Apex’
Watch it open
One of the survival thrillers I’ve been excited about since the first trailer for “Apex.” The film is directed by Baltasar Kormákur, a filmmaker with extensive experience in outdoor adventure and survival stories. He has previously directed and produced intense, real-world inspired films such as “Against the Ice” and “Everest.” What makes “Apex” even more impressive is the physical commitment required of the cast, with Charlize Theron taking on grueling stunts, including mountain climbing and kayaking.
“Apex” follows Sasha (Theron), a desperate rock climber who wants to be alone in the rugged Australian wilderness, but finds herself on a cold hunt when Ben (Taron Egerton) begins stalking her with the intention of killing her. As Sasha faces dangerous terrain such as cliffs and rivers, he must use all his physical skills and stamina to stay ahead of his pursuer. Tommy (Eric Bana) also appears in the story, possibly connected to Sasha’s past.
