Top 5 movies on HBO Max in March with a 90% or higher on Rotten Tomatoes

HBO Max has added nearly 100 new movies to its already impressive library as of early March 2026 (89, to be exact), meaning moviegoers have a ton of new releases to keep busy throughout the month.
Now, if you ask me, that’s a scary amount of movies to wade through, especially when you consider all the other great streaming services they have. again bolster their ranks with new additions, too. So, if you can’t handle sifting through everything new on HBO Max in March 2026, let me in. I just scrolled through that list of new movies and picked five that earned a minimum of 90% or higher on the review aggregator, Rotten Tomatoes, which is usually a strong indicator that any given movie is worth a watch. Of course, you can’t guarantee that a high score will mean that any of the choices below will be to your liking, but 90% or more on RT at a minimum means that most movie critics liked what they saw.

5 top rated movies to stream on HBO Max this month
‘All the President’s Men’ (1976)
Watch it open
If it’s a classic or a thriller you’re after, look no further than “All The President’s Men.” All these years later, Alan J. Pakula’s acclaimed film Watergate is still celebrated as one of the best films about journalism.
The Oscar-winning film adapts the 1974 book about the scandal by Washington Post reporters Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, and follows the two reporters (played brilliantly by Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford, respectively) as they investigate and report the story that ultimately brought down Nixon’s presidency.

‘Call Me By Your Name’ (2017)
Luca Guadagnino’s “Call Me By Your Name” is my top rated movie of the month. This popular romantic drama takes us to Italy in 1983. 17-year-old Elio Perlman (Timothée Chalamet) is on vacation with his family at their villa, where he meets Oliver (Armie Hammer), a medical student who works for his father (Michael Stuhlbarg), and how this touching, tender coming-of-age story recounts their summer romance.
The Rotten Tomatoes critics consensus sums up the film as “a poignant, deeply moving picture of first love, sympathetically performed by Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer.”

‘Everywhere Everywhere at Once’ (2022)
Watch it open
Daniels’ independent action/comedy drama “Everything Everywhere All at Once” is done like that big wave when it hits the big screen back in 2022. This wild, diverse odyssey is sometimes absurd, funny, action-packed, and packs in a lot of emotional swings, and it comes recommended, too. Not only did it get a lot of praise from critics and movie lovers, but it also collected more than that Seven for eleven Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.
If you missed it then, the film is about Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh), an ordinary middle-aged woman whose life is changed forever during a tense meeting with an IRS official. What should be an ordinary day turns into an epic journey, when Evelyn meets her soul mate and uses her skills across multiple universes to save the world.

‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ (2023)
Watch it open
If it’s all-out action you’re looking for, nothing fits the bill more than “John Wick: Chapter 4.” I can’t think of any movie rated to satisfy our desire to kill; this is three hours of continuous, brutal fun.
It includes some of my favorite moments of all time from the franchise (which is why it surpassed my ranking of all five “John Wick” films). “John Wick: Chapter 4” puts the famous striker of Keanu Reeves as never before and gives the best action on the screen that I have ever seen in the process. At three hours long, it will swallow an entire night, but “Chapter 4” is an action film that pulls both in length and scale, and I love it.

‘The Terminator’ (1984)
Watch it open
Finally, let’s wrap things up with James Cameron’s classic ’80s sci-fi movie, “The Terminator.” It started this franchise with a great first feature where Arnold Schwarzenegger’s cyborg assassin returns from 1984 to hunt down and kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), because her unborn son will lead people to victory in the next war between man and machine. Luckily, Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) has it again he was sent back in time to protect her. Like the other entries in this rotation, it’s a full-on ride, and one that’s consistently been a lot of fun over the years, and laid the groundwork for a series of bombastic years down the line.
