Bring back: Exclusive OLED TV review, new Sonos speaker, big change for Naim and Focal and more.

A new week is upon us, which means a new entry in our regular hi-fi and home cinema roundup, Undo it.
Here’s what you need to know.

We tested the LG C6
LG’s C series of low-end OLED TVs has a strong track record in our test rooms, as evidenced by the number of LG C5 sets in last year’s What Hi-Fi? Prizes.
That’s why our reviewers were so excited when the 65-inch LG C6 showed up in our test rooms last week. We initially found the 65-inch set to be dull when the series was launched, with clear bumps in the standard OLED panel rather than the next-generation Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology seen in its larger siblings.
But when we put it right in our viewing rooms, these initial concerns proved to be completely unfounded. Make no mistake, the C6 is an improvement on the C5 in almost every way. As our reviewers put it: “While it may seem like the most exciting model of LG’s 2026 OLED TV, the ‘regular’ C6 is actually a revelation.”

Naim and Focal are getting new owners
The news that Barco will be buying VerVent Audio is, without a doubt, one of the biggest AV stories to break this year.
As with Harman International’s takeover of Masimo’s Audio brands last year, it means the Belgian company will carry several major hi-fi brands, chief among them Naim and Focal.
What this agreement means for both is still unclear, although the CEO of Barco, An Steegen, has confirmed that they will continue to operate as consumer products to some extent and are part of a wider desire to expand the company’s audiovisual offering.

We reviewed a speaker inspired by the WiiM’s HomePod
WiiM Sound is a smart speaker that wears its inspiration on its sleeve, with a similar design to the iconic Apple HomePod 2, except for the inclusion of a smart OLED screen.
It’s a smart 360 speaker designed for people looking for a one box, or in this case, one cylinder, solution to their audio needs. After putting it through its paces in our listening rooms, while its sound lacks the precision and power needed to take down an Apple smart speaker, we found a lot to like about it.
Highlights include an easy-to-use interface, excellent application support and smooth, fluid sound that will please casual listeners. As we mentioned in our review:
“Like all the other WiiM products we’ve tested, the Sound Speaker impresses with its range of streaming features, easy-to-use interface and smart design. We think many will be attracted to these features in everyday use, and rightly so. Sound quality remains an Achilles’ heel, however.”

Sonos has a new speaker
Speaking of smart speakers, Sonos released a new one last week. Specifically, the brand has lifted the lid on its new Sonos Play portable speaker.
The new Play sits between the Sonos Roam 2 and Move 2, both in size and price, and is designed for use at home and on the go, coming loaded with a battery and a swenky-looking charging base. The latter makes it look and act like a proper home speaker when used indoors, thanks to the inclusion of wi-fi streaming, alongside Bluetooth.
Sadly, we haven’t had a chance to listen to it yet, although we do expect our review unit soon, so be sure to watch this space.
