Marshall delivers big party speaker vibes in a small but powerful way

Marshall’s first group speaker, the super-sized Bromley 750, clearly made the impact it was intended for last year, as its compact sibling has now been introduced.
The Marshall Bromley 450 speaker aims to bring “the same original party energy wherever you go”, with the same burly design, integrated lighting and ‘True Stereophonic’ 360-degree sound as its big brother.

Measuring 36 x 26.1 x 49.2cm and weighing 12.2kg, the Bromley 450 is still on the larger side, but it’s no beast like its 750 sibling (65.2 x 41.3 x 35.5cm and double the weight at 24kg).
To play music, you can stream via Bluetooth or use a wired connection. The speaker sports Bluetooth 5.3 with Auracast sharing technology and supports standard SBC and AAC codecs, as well as LC3. Practical audio connections include 3.5mm input and output, as well as RCA and USB-C inputs.
Designed for use in the living room, at parties or in your backyard, the durable construction of the Bromley 450 has a water-based PU leather wrap and a higher IP55 rating than its sibling to protect it from dirt and splashes.
A built-in handle allows you to carry the speaker wherever the party is, although note that this model does not come with wheels.
There are tactile controls for selecting the source, changing the volume, adjusting the tone controls and selecting various lighting modes. Like its bigger brother, the Bromley 450 also features two XLR/6.3mm combo jacks for mic and instrument input for DJ and karaoke sessions, and comes in Marshall’s signature black and brass finish.
Malcolm Kennedy, Director of Audio & Acoustics at Marshall Group, says: “With the Bromley 450, our aim was to take everything we love about the Bromley 750 and bring it to a compact form. It delivers the same signature sound: fast, powerful bass, clean mids, and detailed highs. Thanks to our unique 360° True stereo party, True depth is the music you love.”
The Bromley 450 is priced at £550 / $800/AU$1079 and is available to buy direct from Marshall today, while availability at selected retailers will start from 31 March. In comparison, the larger Bromley 750 is yours for a whopping £900 / $1300 / AU$1799.
