EcoFlow’s Delta 3 Classic brings EV-grade battery technology to home backup power

EcoFlow has introduced the Delta 3 Classic portable power station, expanding its backup power system with a compact battery system designed for homes, remote workers, and outdoor users who rely heavily on portable power during blackouts or off-grid situations.
The launch reflects a broader shift in the portable power market, where battery stations are evolving from camping equipment to everyday home storage tools that support essential electronics and appliances during temporary grid outages.
EcoFlow places the Delta 3 Classic in the mid-range portable power category, with a 1024Wh battery and 1800W continuous output, enabling it to power appliances such as refrigerators, laptops, routers, televisions, and small kitchen appliances.
The system can also handle high start-up power with an operating output of 3600W, allowing short bursts of power demand when devices such as electric kettles, coffee makers, or power tools need more power at startup.
Backup power is designed for everyday electronics
Portable battery stations are increasingly entering the home energy conversation as extreme weather events, remote work setups, and growing power concerns encourage families to secure small backup power for critical equipment.
EcoFlow equips the Delta 3 Classic with an automatic uninterrupted power supply function that switches in about 10 milliseconds, allowing sensitive electronics such as desktop computers, routers, and NAS storage systems to remain powered during sudden outages.
The system uses lithium iron phosphate battery chemistry, the most common type of battery used in electric vehicles because it features improved thermal stability, long life, and consistent performance across repeated charge cycles.
The company says the battery system is designed to deliver nearly ten years of reliable operation, showing confidence in the durability expectations associated with lithium iron phosphate batteries.
Fast charging and multiple power sources
EcoFlow includes multiple charging modes for the Delta 3 Classic, allowing the power station to recharge from common wall outlets, solar panels, car charging systems, or hybrid generators, depending on available power sources.
AC charging can fill the battery from 0 to 80 percent in about 45 minutes, while a full recharge takes about one hour when using the device’s high-speed charging mode.
Solar charging supports up to 500W of solar input, allowing the battery system to reach full capacity in approximately 2.5 hours under favorable sunlight conditions when paired with compatible solar panels.
Meanwhile, the unit weighs 12.1 kilograms and measures approximately 398 by 200 by 283 millimeters, placing it in the middle of the portable power category that equates to home-level output and portable size.
EcoFlow includes WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and mobile app controls, allowing users to monitor energy use, schedule charging, and manage energy output with the EcoFlow compatible app.
EcoFlow has yet to confirm final UK pricing for the Delta 3 Classic, although the device is expected to be released in the coming months.
