“The DeWalt storage solution” makes us immediately think of the DeWalt ToughSystem 2.0, a new premium modular system for the toolbox. However, DeWalt’s 10-Compartment Pro Small Parts Organizer, currently on sale for just $10.97 at Home Depot (down from $16.97), is a different animal. Compatible with other DeWalt boxes, namely the Deep Pro, Shallow Pro, and 20-Compartment Pro organizers, this box is designed to hold small bits, tools, and other essentials that may dance around your main toolbox. Since it is quite small, about 17.5 x 3 x 6.5 inches, you can use it as an organizer to carry inside your toolbox.

This product has many positive reviews on Home Depot, where 2,776 users have rated it with an average of 4.7 out of five stars. However, these reviews refer to all members of the Pro Organizer family, including the more expensive boxes. That makes it hard to say how much users like the $11 organizer in particular, though a handful of positive users review the small box’s sports graphics, citing durability and waterproofing as particular highlights. We have to say that DeWalt makes no promises when it comes to water resistance, but user experience seems to indicate that it can handle some splashes quite well.

Of course, being part of DeWalt’s Pro line of stackable storage solutions, the 10-Compartment Pro Small Parts Organizer becomes even more useful when combined with these other products. The Small 20-Compartment Organizer is one of the funnest ones, as they are basically 10-Compartment organizers rolled together. On the other hand, the Deep Pro Organizer comes with ten cups, which, in addition to the 13-inch depth, can be easily removed – something you can’t say about the $11 version. There is also a six-compartment organizer with deep cups and a 12-Compartment Flip Bin with cups that tilt towards the user rather than out (although they can also be removed from their box). All of these products can be stacked on top of each other for easy storage and transportation.

What makes the Pro Small Parts Organizer special, even in its own system, is the way the dividers, which can create 10 different sections, can be moved and removed as you like. You can create a large space in the middle and four small lids in the corners, or leave the upper part as one, connected part to store large-ish tools and divide the bottom into five small boxes to store connectors.

However you do, the Plastic Small Parts Organizer 10-Compartment Pro comes with a clear lid – a useful feature for a product like this – that should close the compartments, so everything stays where it belongs during transport. The brand makes no promises about the tool’s durability, beyond the polycarbonate lid labeled “heavy duty,” but DeWalt’s limited lifetime warranty seems sure to last a while.
