The Polar Street X looks to be on the way as the FCC will put in points until the launch on March 26

Polar’s Street X smartwatch is now days away from launch, with FCC documents confirming a planned March 26 launch date.

The details come from a privacy filing tied to FCC ID INW6J. In this document, Polar says that the temporary privacy should remain in place until next Thursday, on which day the product is expected to be official.

That’s usually how companies include coverage during a launch, so it indicates that an announcement is very close. If the device doesn’t debut next week, external images will be released in an FCC filing, unless Polar requests an extension.

A clear end to peace

Street X has been building in the background.

Our first discovery came via an FCC filing in late January, which revealed a model identifier and early packaging details. Since then, device references have appeared in the Android APK of the smartphone application.

The Street X seems to stand a long way from the usual Polar devices that have come into play. FCC documents show Bluetooth connectivity, with no signs of cellular or WiFi support. That suggests a watch designed to stay paired with a phone rather than work independently.

Packaging references revealed a “Night Black” variant as well as a standard SL size. The design direction, based on available materials, looks closer to Polar’s simple watch profiles than its more extreme or high-end models. The name itself also hints at that stance. The Street X feels more focused on lifestyle than performance.

The new Polar watch

There was a seller mentioned earlier about the watch. There are no pictures or specs in the listing but a price of around 220 euros was mentioned. This, of course, is not guaranteed.

Another device is also on the way

Street X is just part of what’s to come.

Our analysis of the Polar Flow app reveals clues to another unreleased device. That one comes under the name Pacer X, suggesting a continuation of Polar’s running-focused lineup.

The Street X looks set to target a wider audience, while the Pacer X will offer users looking for more structured training tools. There haven’t been any official renders of this device that we can see, so the Pacer X could still be a few months away from launch.

It seems that Polar aims to lower the barrier to entry, offering a lightweight wearable that still fits within its ecosystem. Watches can be worn all day, without relying too much on advanced training features. We should learn all the final details next week.
