7 best cases to protect your Apple Watch Ultra
In this review we bought and tested 7 different Apple Watch Ultra Protective Cases, including cases that will transform your Apple Watch into G-Shock style for under $30. Most cases include screen protectors, and we’ll also show you both rugged and slim cases for the Apple Watch Ultra with some starting at $13. These bumpers are also perfect for those who want to change the color of the Ultra to black, orange, and other colors.
1. AmBand Case – Under $30 on Amazon
First, the amBand Case Protector and strap. We found it on Amazon for under $30, and it’s available in Black, Army Green and Black/Gold. We got two of them, one in Green and one in Black. Comes with case and band, as well as 2 screen protectors and cleaning materials for installation.

The case is one piece with a strap, and has a soft feel to it. Installing the Apple Watch is very easy and intuitive.
The case covers all the buttons, except the crown – and the button covers are made of black aluminum. The clasp hardware is made of lightweight black aluminum. And the buttons are easy to press, with some grip on them as an added bonus.
The back of the case is left open, to access sensors and charging.
In terms of size, it only comes in 1 size fits all, but the band fits a variety of wrists, from 5.7″ inches to 8.7 inches around. And for reference, the wrist in this video is 7 inches.
2. Orange Case – Less than $15 on Amazon
Next, if you’re looking for a rugged case that really pops, check out this Bright Orange case for just $15. The color is really bright, but not as high quality as before, and the rubber feels cheap and not soft.

We also don’t like the “Protection, Resist” sign on the front. It doesn’t come with anything but a team. So, for the price – you get what you pay for – but if you really want the orange color, check it out.
A better quality rugged case is the Spigen Rugged Armor for $19. This one comes in one color – black – and is a rugged design with thick and square edges. It also has carbon fiber accents on both sides around the buttons.

The Spigen case covers all the buttons and leaves the crown exposed. It also has a cover on the back, which helps protect while leaving a central area open for health sensors and charging. There is no screen protector included in this case, but the top of the case has a raised bezel to help protect the screen.
The Spigen Armor case also pairs well with Spigen’s Rugged band with the same carbon fiber features and can be purchased separately for $27.
If you’re looking for a clear or silver case, check out Ringke’s titanium gray and clear case. It’s $15 on Amazon and comes in a 2-pack in gray and clear.
The gray is similar to the Ultra gray but with a more matte finish, while the clear will maintain the look of your Ultra while still providing protection. The case covers all the buttons while leaving the crown open, as well as the back for sensors and charging. It doesn’t come with a screen protector, but the case has a raised bezel to help protect the screen.
5. Tauri Thin Case – 2 pack under $20
You can get a Tauri 2 pack on Amazon for $17. It comes in a wide variety of colors like Black, Clear, Green, Green, Orange, and even Orange. We got ours in black, matte black with a nice soft touch. This case is great because it has a built-in front glass cover. Installation is easy, you use a dust extractor and slide the clock in.

Another small case is this one from Elkson for $15 on Amazon. It comes with a screen protector and cleaning supplies for installation. This case is a sleek and sleek black, and covers the action button but leaves the crown and side button exposed. We like that it has a clean and simple look, with a screen protector included.

Finally, the last small case is the Spigen mini case for $19 on Amazon. It is pitch black with a soft shell. It covers both the action and side buttons and leaves the crown exposed. It doesn’t come with anything but a case, and overall for the price we think this one is a bit expensive compared to other options.
