Surprisingly? No heel blisters. The canvas is flexible enough right out of the box. That being said, these are not running shoes. By hour six of walking on hard pavement, my arches were feeling a little tired. If you need intense orthopedic support, you might need to swap out the insoles. But for casual, everyday wear, they are perfectly fine.
The Ultimate Struggle: Keeping Them White
The beauty of the classic white Keds is how versatile they are. I’ve worn them with straight-leg jeans, shorts, and floral dresses. They literally go with everything.
The downside? They are white canvas. They attract dirt like a magnet. I accidentally scuffed them on a car tire on day two. Luckily, canvas is super easy to clean. A little dish soap, warm water, and an old toothbrush got the grease right out. Just don’t throw them in the dryer unless you want them to shrink!
Final Verdict: Should You Buy Them?
For the price point, honestly, yes. They are a timeless closet staple. They aren’t going to replace your heavy-duty walking shoes for a trip to Disney World, but for looking cute and put-together for weekend outings, coffee runs, or casual office days, they are hard to beat.
