This Smart Ring Pays You Crypto for Performance
Most smart rings are content to sit on your finger, count steps, and call the day. The CUDIS Sporty Series Ring is not the smartest of rings. A 3-gram titanium wearable that tracks more than 30 sports, connects you with licensed health professionals, and pays cryptocurrency rewards when you reach your wellness goals. It’s also the first smart ring that lets you change its look with interchangeable silicone bands.

The Sporty Series is the second generation of CUDIS rings, following the original CUDIS 002 which was launched in late 2024. The company, founded by BeatBit Wellness Lab and backed by a $5 million seed round led by Tim Draper’s Draper Associates, has shipped more than 26,000 rings to users worldwide. Those aren’t Oura numbers, but the first real traction that combines wearable technology with blockchain.

What makes the Sporty series different
The first CUDIS ring came in one color and one style. The Sporty Series fixes that with six interchangeable silicone bands available in 12 colors, including jet black, lunar silver, cosmic blue, and fiery red. CUDIS says the idea came from Apple’s 1998 iMac, which exploded in popularity in part because it gave people a choice of colors instead of beige boxes. The idea is simple: let people match their ring with their outfit or mood, and they will actually want to wear it every day.
Under the replacement bands, the hardware hasn’t changed its core formula. The ring still weighs 3 grams, has a 5ATM waterproof rating for use in the pool and shower, and lasts up to 10 days on a single wireless charge. British triathlete Naomi Metzger, who is training for the LA28 Games, is wearing one. UCLA Athletics has signed a one-year partnership with CUDIS that includes NIL deals with student-athletes and campus activations related to wellness and data ownership.
Health Tracking Without Registration
The ring monitors heart rate fluctuations, sleep patterns, stress levels, and activity through a dense capillary bed on your finger, which CUDIS says provides clearer biometric signals than wrist-based trackers. ChatGPT’s AI-powered coach processes that data and delivers personalized recommendations through the CUDIS app, which also includes Apple Health, Google Fit, Strava, and MyFitnessPal.
If the AI flags something that needs professional attention, CUDIS says the app can connect you to a licensed healthcare professional. That’s a significant step up from what most wearables offer, if delivered. Oura and Samsung tell you that something might not work. CUDIS tries to connect you with someone who can really help.
There is no registration fee, either. The CUDIS app is free to use with all its tracking features and AI training features, which sets it apart from Oura’s $6/month membership for full data access.
The Crypto Side of Things
This is where CUDIS interests the Web3 crowd. The ring operates on the DePIN (extensible infrastructure) model built on the Solana blockchain. Users earn cryptocurrency rewards for completing daily health quests, wearing the ring consistently, and hitting personal milestones. Rewards come via the $CUDIS token, which was launched on major exchanges including Bybit, Bitget, and MEXC in June 2025.
CUDIS estimates that health data could be worth as much as $5,000 per year per user, although that figure is highly dependent on token prices and broader crypto market conditions. The company allows users to preserve the identity of their biometric data with what it calls Longevity Decentralized Identifiers (LDIDs), with the option to anonymize health data as NFTs on Solana.
For users who don’t care about crypto, the ring still serves as a capable health tracker. But the blockchain layer adds a financial incentive that most competitors don’t currently offer.

The CUDIS Sporty Series Ring has a retail price of $399, available through the CUDIS website at cudis.xyz. The company is currently offering a 40% discount with its Pioneer Package, which brings the price down to $239 and includes free worldwide shipping and an extra set of silicone bands. Third-party sellers on eBay and other marketplaces carry various CUDIS models at different price points.
