Every Google Pixel 10 Pro owner needs to try these 5 tricks

The Google Pixel 10 Pro is one of the best Android phones on the market, but not because of its hardware. The display, cameras, and excellent build quality are good reasons to choose this smartphone, although there is undoubtedly something more important.
Google phones, including the Pixel 10 Pro, shine in the software department. During seven years of Android OS development, regular Pixel Drops, and special features, the software has a good reason to choose a Google handset.
Let your phone do the heavy lifting with Magic Cue
Magic Cue might be the Pixel’s smartest feature yet, as it processes data from various Google apps to get a complete picture of how you’re using your devices and services. It can access data from apps like Gmail, Pixel Screenshots, Google Calendar, and Google Messages to anticipate your next move. The feature saves you time by intelligently displaying information when you need it. When you text a friend about your upcoming flight, Magic Cue may suggest that you send your flight information to Google Messages.
You’re always in control of your data when you use Magic Cue, and it runs on the device using the Gemini Nano models and the Tensor G5 chip for processing. You can also select or deselect Magic Cue data sources. If you don’t want the feature to analyze your emails, you can disable Gmail as a source.
To use it, open the Settings apppress the button The Magic Cue page, and make sure the toggles are enabled for the types of suggestions and data sources you want. Then, wait for the Magic Cue to suggest action as you go about your day.
Get a personal photography coach and Camera Coach
If you notice excessive AI processing or image manipulation, you should still delete Camera Trainer. A new feature in the Pixel 10 Pro that uses AI to help you become a better photographer, rather than using artificial AI to do the work for you. The tool uses a mix of on-device AI and device-powered custom Gemini models trained in photography skills.
The way it works is simple. AI models are used to analyze the setting, and from there, Camera Trainer will teach you how to take the best shot. It may suggest tips for things like composition, lighting, or framing. Those without a photography background may not have the natural skills needed to fully utilize the Pixel 10 Pro’s triple-camera system.
Fortunately, with Camera Trainer, you don’t have to. If you’re using the Pixel’s camera app, you’ll see the Camera Trainer icon in the top right corner above the viewfinder. It’s a camera with AI shine, and pressing it will activate the Camera Trainer. From there, AI will scan your photo, suggest a theme, and guide you to the best shot.
Easily edit photos with Ask Photos
The Google Photos app is loaded with photo editing tools, and it’s impossible to keep track of them all. To solve this problem, Google added the Ask Photos feature to the Pixel 10 Pro. Add a Help me organize option in the Google Photos editor that can understand natural language commands and make changes to images for you. For example, you can ask it to remove reflections from an image or remove shadows.
Using it is easy – all you have to do is click a button Help me organize button in the Google image editor. Then, type a message or tap a suggestion, select the edited image option, and save it as a copy. This won’t show up until you go into Ask Photos, but doing so is worth this tool alone.
Record your life with the Pixel Journal app
It’s not every day that Google releases a new app, but that’s exactly what the company has done for the Pixel 10 Pro. The new phone was one of the first to ship with the Pixel Journal app, an AI-powered magazine. The app is private by design, and tries to be a safe haven for your personal thoughts. It can use data from Google Photos and Health Connect, and offers cloud storage support and a secure PIN to protect your entries.
You’re probably wondering – how does AI fit in here? There is a whole tab in the Pixel Journal app called Understanding editing your entries, and Create a journal entry option will suggest AI-generated writing commands. There is also a Deep dive mode that helps users work on the topic they are writing about. Another AI tool to consider Heart condition IDwhich selects the appropriate emoji for each journal entry.
It’s worth noting that none of Pixel Journal’s data is used for targeted ads or AI training. AI-powered features use on-device processing for privacy.
Although the Pixel Journal app is already available on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 series phones, they are getting a stripped down version with zero AI features. Only the Pixel 10 Pro and all other phones in its lineup get the full Pixel Journal experience.
Charge and access with Pixelsnap
This last feature may be the most important, because it uses a combination of hardware and software. Google Pixel 10 Pro supports the Pixelsnap magnetic connection system, also known as Qi2 or MagSafe. With it, you can use 15W fast charging speed and enjoy snap connection with wireless chargers, phone cases, and other accessories.
If you haven’t tried it yet, grab the Pixelsnap utility and watch the magic happen, because it’s a game changer. Basic features like connected cameras are even better if you can connect with tripods and other gadgets for convenience.
Small phone, big features
You don’t need to get the biggest Pixel 10 Pro XL to get a real Google flagship. The Pixel 10 Pro is a sweet spot, packing plenty of flagship features into a reasonable form factor.
