Oh, finally: reports Samsung Care Plus claims will provide device replacement, Galaxy S26 is the first

What you need to know
- A report during Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event says that the company will offer device replacements to its Care Plus subscribers.
- This support may start with the Galaxy S26 series; however, this same report adds that it is a UK-specific feature.
- Samsung Care Plus recently brought two major improvements to users: unlimited battery and screen resolution.
Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked is still going strong, but there are some issues with its Care program that consumers can benefit from.
As the event continues, a post by Android Authority reports that Samsung’s Care Plus program is changing for the better, at least in one market. According to the publication, Samsung Care Plus makes a move to provide a full replacement of the device within “48 hours” after you contact its representatives. It adds that this new concept will start with the Galaxy S26 series; however, this appears to be limited to the UK only
While a full device replacement if your Galaxy S26 has received major damage, the post adds that more is on the way. Details are reportedly sketchy, but “existing” members of the Samsung Care Plus plan may be in line for “new benefits” sometime this year.
No guarantee or hint has been given as to whether US consumers, or consumers in other regions, will see the same return support from Samsung Care Plus. Perhaps Samsung will say more later this year. Older devices are expected to get this same treatment with Care Plus, but the S26 is the first in line.
Indeed, Care Plus
Samsung Care Plus has gradually reworked its structure by bringing more to its users. One of its biggest additions was unlimited battery maintenance support; However, there was a catch with this. Samsung informed users that they must comply with the conditions: there must be no “further damage” to their battery, and their device must still be covered. If you meet these, then you are good. Samsung says it will replace your phone’s battery if its capacity drops below 79%.
Early last year (and kind of a theme today), Samsung announced that its Care Plus users with Theft & Loss would get unlimited, free screen repairs. You can log in or email your eligible device for a free repair. This started with the Galaxy S25 last January when the series was launched.
Android Central Take
Additions like this to Samsung Care Plus—especially seeing as the recently unveiled Galaxy S26—could make the choice easier for consumers. I myself am incredibly tempted, although there is a problem with its distribution in the UK being reported which I hope is only for now. Either way, the sound of this addition sounds like a safety net. If your device gets serious damage, Care Plus will help you. It’s a service that might make people think about grabbing it (like me), instead of skipping it (me too).
