The 3 best new Prime Video shows to watch this weekend (Feb. 27-March 1)

Prime Video’s biggest release this week may have been the service’s new crime movie, “The Bluff,” but that doesn’t mean the Amazon streamer doesn’t have some recent additions to binge watch over the weekend.
If you’re on the hunt for some Prime Video streaming recommendations, I’ve scrolled through everything new on Prime Video in February (I looked ahead to what’s coming to Prime Video in March) and compiled a list of new and notable options you might want on your weekend watch list. You can find out more about these three Prime Video shows below.
’56 Days’
Watch it open
“56 Days” is Prime Video’s eight-episode series as “a unique crime story and a thrilling, captivating, and psychological drama.” Based on the best-selling novel by Catherine Ryan Howard, it arrives in mid-Feb. 18, and quickly became one of the most popular broadcast watches.
The series focuses on Oliver Kennedy (Avan Jogia) and Ciara Wyse (Dove Cameron), who form a relationship after a chance encounter. 56 days after their first meeting, homicide detectives show up at Oliver’s apartment to find an unidentified, brutally murdered, and deliberately decomposed body, raising big questions: Did Oliver kill Ciara? Did he kill him? What indeed what happened there? “56 Days” uncovers those answers by cutting between one intense day of investigation and the twisting trail of the couple’s past romance, delivering a “grossing” series, according to TG’s “56 Days” review

‘The Cross’
Watch it open
If one crime series is not enough to satisfy, “Cross” is always a popular thriller as the series continued to release new episodes during February; TG’s Malcolm McMillan said the show is “more twisted and brutal than ever” in his review of “Cross” season 2.
If you’re still going to check out the show, “Cross” is a crime thriller based on James Patterson’s Alex Cross novels, and sees Aldis Hodge step into the big role of a psychologist and detective. Season 2 (which ends in just a few weeks) sees Cross in pursuit of a ruthless vigilante who hunts down corrupt billionaire business executives, and if you want to be drawn into another dark side, this could be the show for you.

‘The Gray House’
Watch it open
Here’s a historical drama I feel like I’ve never heard of, which is surprising, since it has big names attached; Morgan Freeman and Kevin Costner are both on board as executive producers.
“Grey House” is a historical drama that revolves around a network of female spies who changed American history. As Amazon bills it, the series “focuses on the true story of the underdog women who turned the tide of the Civil War in favor of the North,” “changing[ing] Their Underground Railroad became an even more successful and dangerous Underground Spy Network, risking life and liberty to help win the war and preserve American democracy.” Surprised? All eight episodes of “The Gray House” came to Prime Video yesterday (Feb. 26), and it may be the best show to stream this weekend.
