Ultrahuman releases Ring Pro with bigger battery and AI features

Ultrahuman has made the new Ring Pro official today with pre-orders now open and a guaranteed price of $479. The company says the ring can last fifteen days on a single charge and the integrated charging case adds another forty-five days of power.
In my previous article on the Ultrahuman Ring Pro leaked launch and expected specs I laid out what we expected from the device based on the FCC filing. Now that Ultrahuman himself has published the product details the ring is official and the reality looks closer to that earlier image.
Regional availability is interesting because the United States is not included in the initial launch. Ultrahuman remains locked in a patent dispute with Oura over the discovery of its previous rings. It is hoped that this version will include a redesign of the interior that cannot be denied by Oura. Let’s wait and see how the situation will turn out.
Charge and carry
So what do we get this time?
Starting with the design, the latest Ultrahuman ring looks ordinary from the outside. But the company describes it as fast and capable.
The idea here is to provide continuous heart rate, sleep and recovery monitoring without the constant charging that many people have found frustrating with previous smart rings. Official specifications guarantee a quoted fifteen days of battery life per charge. That alone is a step up from the seven-day duration of the previous Ultrahuman ring.
The included charging case is the new part of the story. It works both as a storage and charging port and can add up to forty-five days of extra battery life. Ultrahuman says the case also stores health data for up to a year so you can leave syncing until later if that suits your schedule.

Interestingly, the case has a built-in speaker and proximity tracking so you can find it using the Ultrahuman app if it gets lost somewhere around the house. There are status lights on the case that show how much battery is left and it supports wireless charging.
Under the hood the Ring Pro has been redesigned compared to the Ring Air. The heart rate sensor has been improved and the company says it will deliver more reliable readings during sleep and work. The Ultrahuman also mentions a dual core processor that makes it more responsive than its predecessors. But it seems that there are no new sensors this time, so the metrics tracked are the same as before. Water resistance is down to 100 meters.
The software side
The software side is improved, though. The company’s new AI platform Jade is described as a real-time biointelligence platform that interprets your metrics and provides you with insights as you go about your day.
Part of what Jade can do in the beginning is to guide breathing exercises and identify abnormal heart rhythms such as atrial fibrillation. The software is also designed to evolve over time with features that can inform you about changing physiology, connect to smart home gear or help you automate your data.
Unlike some competitors the Ring Pro doesn’t yet appear to support things like NFC payments or standalone apps on the device. The focus of the launch is mainly on health tracking, battery life and AI-assisted insights.
Pricing starts at $479 for pre-order now that the product is official. At this price point it sits above most fitness trackers and is in line with other premium smart rings but the long battery life and included charging case are clear parts of how the Ultrahuman pulls off its latest wearable.
