The Motorola Razr Fold has been fully revealed – these could be the killer specs of the Galaxy Z Fold 7

Quick Summary
Motorola has revealed the full details of the Razr Fold, a new foldable phone that will compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Specifications closely match the Moto Signature, while being priced to compete with a Samsung phone.
Motorola has confirmed the full details of the Razr Fold, a new folding clamshell-style folding phone that it has offered since 2020. The Razr Fold was first shown at CES 2026 – where we spent some time with it – but now the full details of the phone have been revealed.
Besides, the camera system with three 50-megapixel cameras is known, but that was it – nothing else was confirmed, so it was difficult to compare it with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
That has now been fixed, as Motorola is giving us all the details about this new device. First, let’s talk about the stand: the Moto Razr will open for pre-orders for £1,799.99 / €1999.99 on 13 April.
This price puts it in direct competition with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, but the Razr Fold will come with double the storage at 512GB, so it’s starting on a strong footing.
Powering the Razr Fold’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 hardware, this is a step-down kit from the 8 Gen 5 Elite found in flagship phones, but still packs a lot of power.

Speaking of which, the 6,000mAh battery is quite large – although not as good as the Honor Magic V6 – but it was revealed in 24 hours of each other. It is supported by 80W wired charging, which also leaves Samsung in the dust.
With those displays reaching a brightness of 6000 nits, the Razr Fold certainly has a lot to be excited about. It will offer IP49 protection, which means it can be water resistant, but not the highest level of dust protection. It’s also compatible with Motorola’s Pen Ultra (sold separately) for those who want to draw on the big screen.
The move to the camera and sensor arrangement is similar to the Motorola Signature. As I have reviewed that phone before, I can confirm that it is a good all-rounder when it comes to camera performance. Motorola claims it has the highest score on the DXO Mark for folding phones, though we’ll be sure to check that with our tests.
To break down the details, there is the Sony Lytia 828 main camera, the Sony Lytia 600 telephoto that offers 3x optical and 100x digital zoom, with the help of AI to clean long-range images – but like all such programs, it is better to use them with caution. Finally, there is the ultrawide.
You get seven years of software support with this phone, which comes with Android 16, and you can expect a host of Moto AI features to complete the package. The new foldable phone measures 9.89mm closed and 4.55mm open and weighs 243g.
We’ll bring you more on the Moto Razr Fold closer to availability.
