Patagonia fans should check out the Scandinavian brand’s new outdoor gear

Fans of premium outdoor gear often point to Patagonia as a symbol of thoughtful design and sustainability.
But another brand from Scandinavia has also been building a strong following among leading climbers and mountaineers, especially in Europe.
For Spring/Summer 2026, Klättermusen has launched a new range of hiking equipment aimed at people who spend long hours walking in the mountains and forests.
A redesigned pack for long days on the trail
One of the most interesting new additions is the Gungne multi-day backpack, which introduces an improved ergonomic carrying system designed to improve comfort during long trips.
The new design focuses on ventilation and load distribution, helping climbers carry heavy gear without sacrificing stability.

The pack also has improved internal organization, making it easy to access essentials during multi-day trips in the mountains.
The Vide 30L backpack offers a more organized alternative for travelers who prefer to travel light.
Built with roll-top construction and full weather protection, it’s designed for quick hikes or light night trips where the gram counts.

Alongside the new packs, Klättermusen is also introducing the Vili Hood jacket, its lightest synthetic insulation jacket to date.
The piece uses 20g G-Loft insulation, which provides warmth without adding unnecessary bulk, making it a great choice for milder conditions.
The result is a lightweight mid-layer designed to keep you comfortable while walking, rather than too hot during climbs or long days of hiking.
Watch it open
While the gear itself focuses on performance and utility, the latest product launch is also supported by a cinematic campaign based on Scandinavian mythology.
The (not-so) short film accompanying the collection draws inspiration from mythical figures such as Näcken, a water spirit said to lure river wanderers with soothing violin music, and Skogsrå, a forest bee believed to lead travelers astray.
Rather than presenting these creatures as fictional characters, the campaign frames them as symbolic reminders of the deep relationship between humans and wilderness.
The new collection is available now at Klattermusen UK, Klattermusen US and Klattermusen EU, with prices from £30 / $40 / €35 (~AU$58).
