How to watch Australian Grand Prix 2026: stream live F1 race from anywhere

As is tradition, the F1 season starts in Melbourne, in many ways a less-than-ideal start to the new era – which should make for a great spectacle. The Albert Park Circuit is an exit track that combines public roads, smoothing them out and having bumpers, two things drivers can’t do without while adjusting to the new cars and regulations.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time in the opening practice, ahead of today’s second practice.

Australian Grand Prix 2026 preview
Arguably more than any other race, last year’s Australian GP showed just how good the margins can be. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri both drove in the rain at the same time 12 months ago, but when Norris’ car skidded back onto the road, Piastri’s came to rest on the grass. Had their fortunes turned around, the title race may have turned out differently.
Considering the magnitude of the 2026 changes – the electric units have been completely overhauled, the DRS has been replaced with Active Aero, Overtake and Boost methods – and that at Audi, Cadillac and Arvid Lindblad we have more new teams than rookie drivers, most of the cars have shown strong reliability in Preseason Testing. The Mercedes seems to have the edge, which is in keeping with George Russell’s talk of fighting, but the Ferraris and Ferrari-powered Haas and Cadillacs seem to be very quick off the line.
It has been a stinking season for Lawrence Stroll, the Adrian Newey-designed Aston Martin who is so far back in the field that he has reportedly offered Christian Horner a possible return to the F1 paddock.
We’ll show you how to watch live streaming of the Australian Grand Prix from anywhere in the world, starting with the FREE options.
