That’s what Garmin fans hope CIRQA will deliver

Garmin hasn’t even announced a CIRQA band yet, but that hasn’t stopped users from making an elaborate wish list that covers bicep straps, a screenless design, sharp sensor accuracy and the hope that there won’t be any subscriptions attached. A brief, rather sinister-looking, leak of the vendor list added fuel to the speculation.
A common theme running through the discussions is simple. People want to stop wearing a big Garmin sports watch all the time. Whether it’s for aesthetic reasons or pure practicality, a large portion of the public sees CIRQA as a way to access their health data without strapping a Forerunner or Fenix to their wrist every waking hour. They want the CIRQA option to do its job quietly elsewhere, ideally the upper arm with the bicep strap.
That point about dressing up is worth focusing on. It’s the same approach taken by Whoop. The concept is straightforward: if the band moves completely from the wrist, it stops competing with other watches in that area.
The screen is also connected
Expectations seem to be that CIRQA will be a screenless device. The preference is for something smaller, something that collects data in the background and pushes it to Garmin Connect rather than demanding attention on its own. Some users say they may make the switch sooner if Garmin’s sensor accuracy proves to be stronger than Whoop’s, especially heart rate and HRV data.
On the ecosystem side, existing Garmin users want everything to fit seamlessly into Connect. The concept of using two Garmin devices, a sports watch for training and a CIRQA for continuous daily monitoring, clearly appeals to a certain segment of the public. Garmin has been building this kind of holistic health picture for some time, with recent additions to Connect including logging, food tracking and barcode-based meal logging. A dedicated recovery band can give those tools a natural home.
The latest Garmin Connect update, version 5.22, added the ability to check the wearable’s battery level directly within the app. It’s a small change, but it makes a lot of sense when you consider that a device without a screen will have no other way to display that information.
A question of price
A rumored pre-order listing from a well-known Ukrainian retailer puts the price at around $470. The product number of the device is correct, but the page seems to have used a placeholder image. It is therefore possible that it was created before official product information is available, which means that the price should be considered a guess.
Most people are expecting something closer to $200 to $300, which sounds more in line with how much a screenless band without a display should cost. Whether that expectation is realistic remains to be seen.
There are also fears about subscriptions. Garmin’s traditional model has been to sell hardware and integrate analytics for free, but the arrival of Garmin Connect+ has introduced some uncertainty. People are watching to see if CIRQA ends up being tied to the paid category with its more advanced data.
What we really know about the device
Confirmed details are still sparse. The CIRQA appeared briefly on Garmin’s official pages before being pulled, revealing two size options, S/M and L/XL, as well as Black and French gray color options. The width of the arm fit suggests that it is designed to accommodate a wide range of users.
Product number 010-04675-00 has been spotted, and the expected launch window appears to be sometime in 2026, possibly mid-year. Other than that, everything else remains unknown.
The device will represent a new product category for Garmin when it launches as expected. The company’s lineup has traditionally covered sports watches, outdoor sports watches and display-based fitness trackers. A screenless activity tracking band that can be worn on the upper arm sits apart from all of these, and public interest suggests that there is a real appetite for it.
