Oppo Watch X3 plans on titanium construction and launch in March
Oppo has released a few videos of the Watch X3, and they point to a titanium-centric design with a more durable build than its predecessor. If the leak is true, the Chinese launch could be as soon as March 17.
Funny words are short on hard details, but messages speak volumes. Oppo seems to be positioning the Watch X3 as a premium, solidly built smartwatch rather than the ultra-thin trend chaser that others are leaning towards right now.
What it means to leak
The rumored specification sheet is very important for a device that has yet to be officially announced. A titanium alloy bezel and a sapphire crystal display are both listed, which would put the Watch X3 in the forefront. The weight is expected to be 68 grams, and the colors can be black, silver, titanium and orange.
The design sticks with the circular element used on the Watch X2, and there’s a rotating crown next to the second side button for hardware navigation. That combination of touch and visual controls has become a signature of the Watch X line.
On the display side, a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED panel is expected. Its maximum brightness is rumored to be around 2200 nits.

Hardware inside
Internally, the Watch X3 is expected to carry a dual-chip setup, which Oppo has previously used to balance performance and power efficiency. The idea is that a low-power co-processor handles background and standby tasks, keeping the main chip free for heavy lifting. RAM and storage are expected to remain at 2GB and 32GB respectively.
The battery capacity is rumored to be 632 mAh, which is on the large end for a Wear OS device. The Watch X2 already stands out for its endurance, so the bigger cell in the X3 can only strengthen that reputation.
The software is expected to be Wear OS 6 based on Android 16, bringing Google Maps, Wallet and Play Store access with it. Connectivity should include LTE with eSIM, Bluetooth, WiFi and NFC for payment. Health features are expected to include heart rate, sleep tracking, GPS and a list of sports modes, with ECG also mentioned in other leaks although not yet confirmed.
Oppo Watch X3 vs Watch X2
From these leaks so far, the Watch X3 looks more like an evolution of the Watch X2 than a fresh start. Oppo seems to be taking what has already worked and opening the phone in certain areas.
Materials and durability are the most obvious changes. The titanium message in the teaser makes it clear that Oppo wants this one to feel higher quality and better built than its predecessor.
Display brightness and battery life also look set to improve. The maximum 2200 nit figure can make a real difference outdoors, and a larger battery can only add to the reputation of endurance the Watch X line has already built among Wear OS devices.
Wear OS 6 rounds things up on the software side, putting the Watch X3 on a much more current footing than previous models in the series.
Other than those areas, the main idea remains the same. Round design, rotating crown, dual chip architecture. Oppo isn’t trying to reinvent the Watch X, just make a stronger version of it.
The OnePlus angle
One detail to keep an eye on is what’s happening outside of China. The Watch X3 hardware is expected to be seen globally under the OnePlus Watch 4 name. Oppo and OnePlus have shared smartwatch platforms before, with the international version usually following the Chinese launch in a short while.
If that pattern holds again, the Watch X3 could be the cornerstone of OnePlus’ next smartwatch global push. There’s nothing official about that yet, but it will be consistent with how both brands have worked in the past.
For now, March 17 is the date to watch. Oppo seems to be creeping up on the show, and if the timeline is anything to go by, the full picture should come into focus soon.
