The Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro appears in a training video featuring Grant Fisher

A promo video featuring Olympic distance runner Grant Fisher has revealed the name of Amazfit’s next running watch. An image of the Zepp Health app on the phone’s screen clearly shows the connected device listed on the Cheetah 2 Pro.
The track is hidden in the app
The most important moment in the video is not the watch itself but the phone screen that appears next to it. The Zepp Health app interface displays the name of the device directly, leaving little room for doubt as to what the watch is called.

Device names only appear within the app when software support has been added to the platform. Which implies that the merge operation is already done. Fisher, a professional long-distance runner and Amazfit ambassador, would usually have early access to unreleased hardware. So it should come as no surprise that the device is already being tested in the field.
We have also downloaded the latest version of the Zepp Health Android app. And yes, there is a real internal reference for the Cheetah 2, but not an obvious public-facing name like “Amazfit Cheetah 2” or “Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro”.
The only next generation reference we have found is this:

Interestingly, there is also a reference to Falcon2025.
What the pictures show
The video only gives a brief look at the watch but few design details are visible. As before, the case comes from all around the game. But there seem to be four physical buttons on the side (two each) rather than a rotating crown. A red accent mark is visible on the case and the strap looks like a simple strap suitable for work.
Then again, this could be a pre-production unit. So the final design may change.
The overall idea is for a watch designed for training rather than lifestyle use. Which goes along with what the Cheetah series has been talking about.

Next
To remind you, the original Cheetah and Cheetah Pro were launched in June 2023 as smart smartwatches built with GPS precision and structured training tools. The Cheetah Pro comes with a titanium alloy bezel, a round AMOLED display, multi-band satellite positioning and training programs powered by Zepp Coach. Battery life lasted about two weeks in smartwatch mode, which puts it in competition with dedicated sports devices.
The second generation arriving now will put us about three years behind the original. Many people thought the line might have been disconnected, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
It is important to note that no specifications have been confirmed yet and Zepp Health has not made an official announcement. However, the appearance of the name within the application is a strong signal that the implementation is not far away. Athlete photos have a habit of revealing upcoming hardware ahead of schedule, simply because agents train on pre-released devices before any official reveal.
Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro is clearly on the way. It’s just a matter of when Zepp Health decides to make it official.
