Don’t expect major changes for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, as this leak is all about subtlety

What you need to know
- Rumors are there, suggesting the design of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold from Google.
- Obviously, this device can sport a slightly thinner design and subtle changes in its camera housing, bringing its LED flash and microphone to the list.
- Old rumors suggest that Google could improve the repairability of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold battery, as the patent showed a “metal frame” with springs to hold it, rather than glue.
The week is off to a quick start with a report claiming to have found Google’s Pixel 11 Pro Fold offer.
Social media tipster OnLeaks has reportedly received a render of Google’s Pixel 11 Pro Fold and teamed up with Android Headlines to break the news. From the tipster’s findings, the next book-style foldable from Google appears to be preparing to launch with a similar design. The display cover appears to be unchanged in these images of the phone (probably) in Moonstone color. It seems that consumers still want more rounded corners and a punch-hole centered selfie camera.
Inside the phone, photos call for a selfie camera placed on the right, placed in the corner. This keeps things in line with the Fold for days past. However, subtle changes come in when the tipster “reveals” the back panel of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Google may change its raised camera housing by extending it to fit the phone’s LED flash again microphone, according to the report.

Additionally, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold’s pill-shaped camera housing appears to be slightly raised—at least, for the lenses. 10 Pro Fold lenses are driven in-house; however, OnLeaks suggests that these can be slightly raised, giving the appearance of houses. Finally, Google is putting a thin layer on the dock so that it can be folded in the future. It is said that the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be thinner than its predecessor, down to 10.1mm from 10.8mm.
The early days
Rumors of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold were lighter than air, but last year’s report gave us a lift strength have a design change. Google’s top executives were interviewed, and confirmed that its Pixel designs could change in 2026 and 2027. The alleged Pixel 11 Pro Fold is consistent with this (if true). However, the company also said that it is focusing more on its software and AI features within its Pixel line, rather than on the surface.
More leaks focusing on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold from January suggest that Google may have its battery issues under control. Specifically, this leak talked about the development of a foldable battery, which could see an improvement in the “metal frame” that will hold its batteries, instead of the old glue. This was found in a patent, so take that with a grain of salt.
Android Central Take
Google’s foldable already has a nice, cool design—in my opinion. Yes, we would like to see others things change about it, just because it’s a new phone coming out, so something has to be different, right? I have a feeling that—despite the rumors—the changes look good for what they are. Changing some camera elements in the house cleans up the space. When it comes to the thin feature, maybe we should have expected that. Google is trying to keep up with its competitors (think Samsung). I feel like that will be fine, as long as Google doesn’t sacrifice anything that makes its Fold worth it.
