When it comes to outdoor gardening tools, equipment, and accessories, there are many options to consider as of course. However, those who want to enter the market do not give up, such as Giraffe Tools, a brand specialized in pipes and retractable tools. It is not among the major tool brands as it has been around for a relatively short time, as it was officially launched in 2017. For those who are new to it, you would really like to know more about the Giraffe product and its origins. As for who makes Giraffe tools, while that name appears on the product itself, another company appears to be in charge of manufacturing.

There is some controversy about the Giraffe Tools manufacturing situation. First and foremost is Zhejiang Haili Xinhong Technology Co., Ltd., based in Yongkang, Zhejiang, China, linked to the product by United States copyright records. Meanwhile, according to the Giraffe eBay store, it is also linked to a company called Yongkang Haili Industrial Co., Ltd. This is a tool manufacturer based in, as the name suggests, Yongkang, Zhejiang, China, with a copyright relationship with Giraffe mainly in Canada. With all that in mind, it seems that Giraffe tools are manufactured in China in some form or fashion. At the same time, Giraffe Tools is said to be based in the US, mainly in Linden, New Jersey, and Los Angeles, California. It currently does business throughout the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Some notable features of Giraffe Tools functionality

In the short time since its inception, Giraffe Tools has pulled back the curtain a bit on its origins. According to the product’s Amazon page, it started under the guidance of founder Oracle Shao, who comes from a family that loves gardening. So, the story goes that Oracle and his father, Peter, made it their mission to improve the storage of home gardening tools and use them because of Oracle’s grandfather, Hanson’s gardening acumen. Ultimately, this led Oracle to develop its own tools and equipment designs, which it began producing in its first factory in 2004.

Oracle’s designs soon proved themselves, with what would become Giraffe Tools selling millions of units years after the factory opened. Now, nearly ten years since the brand was launched, the Giraffe brand is now accessible to customers through multiple channels. It has long been a consumer-oriented endeavor, as it expands into online marketplaces such as the aforementioned eBay and Amazon, as well as Walmart. The giraffe has reached the brick and mortar sellers. For example, it has a product at Lowe’s, and the Giraffe brand is available among other power tools that you may not know you can buy at Costco, too.

Given the rapid growth of the product, Giraffe Tools and those behind it seem to be doing well. It will be interesting to see where they go, producing and distributing, in the coming years.
