Oppo confirms Watch X3 announcement date and design in latest teaser

The smartwatch will make its debut in China—and may also feature in OnePlus’ next smartwatch
Oppo has officially confirmed that its next smartwatch, the Oppo Watch X3, will be announced on March 17—and it’s given us our best look yet at its design.
The brand first published a teaser about the Watch X3 on Weibo last week, pointing to a titanium casing and frame design. Now, it has been confirmed that the upcoming smartwatch will be unveiled alongside the Find N6 phone during a ‘world premiere’ on March 17.
True to previous form, the company has not said anything about the availability of the Watch X3 outside of China in its social media posts. However, we expect the hardware to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors by launching globally with the OnePlus Watch 4, and later as a full global system.

If history is anything to go by, that should mean the international version will ship with Wear OS 6. And if that’s the case, early design details point to it potentially competing with the only titanium Android smartwatch out there, the Samsung Galaxy Ultra.
The first official details of the design have been confirmed
As you’d expect, there’s still a lot we don’t know about the Watch X3. However, Oppo has revealed that the new generation is 16% lighter and 6.4% thinner than the Watch X2, which weighs 49.7g and measures 11.8mm.
It may all depend on that new unibody titanium construction, which also protects the IP69 rating and should ensure that the smartwatch is protected against high-pressure and high-quality water.
For reference, the X2 featured a heavy metal case (although it had a titanium alloy on the bezel). In this regard, Oppo claims that the entire chassis of the X3 is machined from a single piece of metal.

A recent teaser published via Weibo also gives us our best look at two new case styles.
One variant, shown in the orange and gray variant above, features a dodecagon bezel, while the other (used for the black version shown below) is a more classic round design.
Both models also have screws on the bezel, which look stronger than the Watch X2 and OnePlus Watch 3 that arrived in 2025.

As for the internals of the device, we expect the Watch X3 to retain the signature dual-chip architecture, which may combine a Snapdragon W-series processor with an efficient chip to increase battery life. However, it’s also likely to hit the recently announced Snapdragon Wear Elite chip there, instead.
For the rest—and that includes any possible global launch details—we’ll have to wait for an official announcement (or another Oppo teaser in the coming days). Stay tuned.
