Apple TV Reveals Friday Baseball Schedule for First Half of 2026 Season

Apple will bring Friday Night Baseball back to Apple TV starting March 27, marking the fifth season of the weekly MLB streaming package on the streaming service. Fans will experience two special games every Friday throughout the 25-week Major League Baseball 2026 regular season. The opening night schedule features the Los Angeles Angels against the Houston Astros, followed by the Cleveland Guardians playing the Seattle Mariners.

The weekly doubleheaders will be broadcast in more than 60 countries and territories via the Apple TV app. Apple says viewers will see enhanced streaming production, in-depth analysis from analysts, and games that are always available without local streaming restrictions. Subscribers only need a standard Apple TV subscription to watch the games.

Apple confirmed the return of the program in a press release announcing the full schedule of the first half and additional MLB programs on the platform.

“Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV continues to elevate the way fans enjoy the game,” said Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music, Apple TV, Sports, and Beats.

Apple highlighted “edge production” and the use of iPhone cameras during live broadcasts, which added new viewing angles and focused images during selected games.

Seasonal Expectations

Apple TV will broadcast two MLB matchups every Friday during the regular season, which runs for 25 weeks. Coverage will include expert teams of analysts, sideline reporting, and production hosted in partnership with MLB Network’s award-winning broadcast team.

Several high-profile games will appear in the first half of the schedule, including the New York Subway Series between the Yankees and Mets, as well as multiple appearances from Shohei Ohtani and the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers.

Fans in the United States will also get more baseball coverage starting March 26 with the MLB Big Inning program, which delivers live coverage and game highlights every week. Apple TV will also carry related content such as Countdown to First Pitch, MLB Daily Recap, and MLB This Week.
