The 3 Best Cannabis Grinders of 2026

The Beamer Acrylic Grinder and the SharpStone V2 4-Piece Hard Top Grinder both have plastic parts, and in testing them, we quickly noticed that those pieces tend to attract more leafy bits than their all-metal counterparts. Considering the other high-quality options we had to choose from, this pullback was enough for us to pull out both grinders. The SharpStone grinder in particular is a popular model, but it was easy to fall over when putting it together, and we found its grinding smoothness and material consistency to be just right.

The Phoenician Pro 4-Piece Medium is easy to use and offers a smooth grind. The surface adheres with included magnets for a secure fit. In our tests, this model made consistent grinds. Our panel testers preferred the Santa Cruz Shredder model over this grinder but experienced using them just the same. Additional screens and grinding plates are available for a fee. A unique (somewhat aggressive) large model is a place to hide papers, and a built-in ashtray.

In our testing, the teeth of the Chromium Crusher 2.5-Inch 4-Piece model took longer to finish grinding than those of other models in the same price range. The sharp corners of the collection plate, combined with the textured interior of the bottom piece, made this grinder very difficult to empty completely without flipping it over and dislodging the dirt.

The Cali Crusher Homegrown Standard has a few unusual features that we’ve come to appreciate. Instead of a full hook – which requires you to loosen the bottom bits of the grinder – the Cali Crusher model has a quarter-turn twist-lock system that’s faster to use than a traditional hook but just as secure. Instead of diamond-shaped teeth, the inner radial blades do a good job of breaking our bud evenly without getting stuck. But we’ve concluded that our top pick is the best value overall.

Grinders for Life’s Stainless Steel Brilliant Cut Grinder uses just three pieces of hardware to make grinding large amounts of flower a cinch. The result is a more refined, finer grind. Thanks to the safety, and firm grip of this model, the grinder does a lot of work, saving hands and wrists. But unlike our upgrade pick, the Herb Ripper Classic 4-Piece, this similarly priced stainless device doesn’t have a kief holder. Additionally, as of this writing, Grinders for Life models are taking four weeks or more to ship.

Lift Innovations’s aluminum 3-piece grinder is loved by consumers, as evidenced by their reviews, but it is often sold out.

Stock issues prevented us from testing the Mendo Mulcher 3″ 4-Piece.

Despite the strong performance of the Space Case Medium 4-Piece Grinder (and the high reputation that enthusiasts give the company’s models), we did not find any outstanding features to justify its higher price compared to our choice. In our testing, the Space Case grinder produced a grind that was smooth, consistent, and just as good as the results from our top picks. However the corners of the screen and collection trays were sharp angles that we found difficult to clear with our fingers.
