Top 3 Netflix and Prime Video Add-ons for Midweek Indulgence (Mar. 16-20)

Another week, another release schedule — Netflix and Prime Video are in a lifelong battle to be the biggest streaming service (and, well, the best streaming service), and each knows it won’t last a week. I’m not the only person looking to see if a streaming service is really worth my money, and it’s easier than ever to justify signing up for one.
So, now that we’re in the middle of March, with the 2026 Oscars behind us in the rearview mirror, you might be wondering what Netflix and Prime Video have in store for you this week. I’ve taken a closer look at each of their schedules, and picked out three highlights you should know about – perfect for anyone looking to indulge themselves for the week.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man
- Streaming from: March 20 on Netflix
It’s been a long time coming, but we’re finally going to see the real, true end of The Peaky Blinders saga when the long-awaited film arrives on Netflix later in the week. Sometime after the end of the main series, it will pick up the story of Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) as he tries to keep his legacy intact.

With the rise of the fascist movement in the UK during the war apparently a big part of the plot, expect things to get very politically charged, and don’t bet against this being Tommy’s last hurray. After all, he has cheated death many times and that movie title can only be a clue.
Invincible Season 4
- Streaming from: March 18 on Prime Video
Amazon has its most anticipated return this week, too, in the form of Invincibleits successful animated adaptation of the superhero bending series. The show’s violence and horror has made it a favorite, but its audience seems to be growing over time.
Now, a season will return that promises some truly uneasy alliances and deadly conflicts, as the forces that threaten Earth continue to gather around it. The veterans who have spent so much time fighting will have to put aside their grievances to end things, it seems.
Plastic Detox
If you’re reading this earlier in the week and you’re looking for something to watch quickly, I’d say your best bet is the new Netflix documentary, Plastic Detoxthat takes a microscope to the scale of plastic used in our daily lives, and makes it clear that things really don’t look good.
Rather than just preaching statistics, the documentary also shows us a series of couples with health problems, as they remove as much plastic from food and the environment as possible, to see what effect the changes can have. I doubt how scientific the results are, but the documentary is getting such good reviews that it sounds like a watch.
