Adobe Firefly can now generate images in your visual style

With Firefly’s new custom models, out today in public beta, creators can train a model with their aesthetic to produce images that match their style. Here are the details.

Adobe Firefly can now learn your style

Adobe is releasing a new feature in Firefly today called custom models.

With it, creators, brands, and users in general can now train the model to follow their own graphics and image styles, and have it create new images that preserve details like aspect ratio, color palettes, lighting, and character traits across generations.

According to Adobe, this allows creators “to generate new ideas aligned to your aesthetic, reuse the model across projects, briefs and campaigns and produce at scale without losing what makes your work unique.”

The beta feature is available for premium subscribers, and each training currently costs 500 credits from the user’s productive monthly balance.

Currently there are three different types of precipitation. Here is Adobe

• Photo style: Practice different looks – lighting, color, mood – to produce new shots with the same visual feel.
• Graphic style: Create new graphics that carry your signature look.
• Characters: Bring a character to life consistently in scenes and stories.

Users can submit between 10 and 30 JPG or PNG images with a minimum resolution of 1024×1024, and they must have a fixed aspect ratio (up to 16:9 landscape or 9:16 portrait).

The company’s best practices and tips for getting the best results include uploading images with a consistent style and color palette, and avoiding low-resolution or blurry images.

Adobe has also published a step-by-step guide to training custom Firefly models.

Adobe expands Project Moonlight

Today, Adobe is also opening a private beta for Project Moonlight, a chat feature that allows users to explain what they want to accomplish in a chat with everyone else, instead of a command box.

These agent AI assistants will be available “across Adobe products, including Photoshop, Express and Acrobat,” and will work independently “to execute that idea using Adobe’s iconic tools – taking real steps that you can refine, refine and build upon.”

Extended access to models

Finally, Adobe also announced today that Adobe Firefly now includes access to 30+ top AI image and video models, including Google’s Nano Banana 2 and Veo 3.1, Runway’s Gen-4.5, and Adobe’s Firefly Image Model 5.
