Because this model has a number of other notable features, we are willing to justify its small temperature difference in the lowest setting.
Like most gooseneck kettle lids we’ve tested, the Cuisinart Gooseneck lid doesn’t open with the push of a button — you have to pull it off manually, which can be difficult when the kettle is hot. Also, like most gooseneck kettles we’ve tested, the Cuisinart Gooseneck doesn’t have a water level window.
We received feedback from some readers who said their CPK-17 broke after about a year, and we heard from others who found that the markings were removed from the buttons. (The gooseneck kettle is new, so we haven’t heard much about its reliability). But many others report that this kettle has lasted them for years, and the one we used in our office looks like new after years of use.
