You’ll be hard-pressed to find a discount on AirPods at the best of times, but for some reason now is a great opportunity.

The Apple AirPods Pro 3 are a step up from their already impressive predecessor, the AirPods Pro 2, boasting minor improvements across the board.
From ANC to sound quality, it all adds up to a well-matched, fun and accurate pair of wireless earbuds.
One of the biggest improvements that our expert testers are excited about is the active noise canceling capabilities, despite sticking to the H2 chip as before.
Instead, Apple engineers used new low-noise microphones, improved computer audio, and new foam-encased ear tips to provide twice as much noise cancellation as the Pro 2 buds.
What our team said: “We took the Pro 3 on a trip to France, and found that they cut a significant amount of mid-range and low-end noise during flight.
“The loud boom of the aircraft engine noise was significantly reduced than when listening to the Pro 2, and the people’s speech and the pilot’s announcements were quieter on the new earbuds in full ANC mode.”
Another major upgrade of the Pro 3 is its sound quality with a completely redesigned ‘multiport acoustic architecture’, as well as a custom driver and amplifier that works with the H2 chip to produce more precise airflow control to deliver bigger bass and a wider soundstage.
In testing, our experts said: “Put the AirPods Pro 3 in, and we’re met with that all-too-familiar Apple sonic character. Some of us in the review team have been using the AirPods Pro 2 for nearly three years regularly, and we’re greeted with the continuation of that well-balanced presentation that brings music together cohesively and delivers vocals clearly and sweetly.”
Feature-wise, the specification sheet is impressive. Eight hours of battery life on a single charge, 24 hours with a case (albeit a disappointing drop from the Pro 2’s 30 hours).
But all the usual big hitters are there from surround sound to hearing health features, as well as a chat mode, various noise cancellation modes, and head gesture controls to reject calls.
There are other useful new features, such as a heart rate sensor to track health and exercise statistics and improved IP57 water resistance (up from IP54), which means greater protection against rain, sweat, splashes, or even immersion.
